Just outside of downtown Tampa sits The Orlo, a private social club housed within the historic Spafford House and ballroom. Orlo J. Spafford, the president of the Tampa National Bank, built the Orlo in 1896 to share with his son and his family. In 1922 the Orlo was sold to the Tampa Women’s Club where the addition of a ballroom was made to host formal parties and extravagant dances. We just call it 1010 WESt. Step through the old metal gates and you'll discover the rustic / industrial, yet warm environment of a space revitalized from a turn of the century airplane hangar. Speakeasies may no longer be illegal, but their hard-to-find entrances gives a sense of exhilaration when walking down a dimly lit alleyway and passing through nondescript gates into a subterranean world of tinkling glasses and spirited history of our hidden hangar.

A 19th century historical building, The Robinson takes the decadent brick and old-school feel of the original construction and presents it in a vibrant and modern light. The Mather Building is located at 30 S. Magnolia Avenue. It is a three-story building constructed by Edward Kuhl and James Delaney. The structure predates the major 1884 fire which began in Delaney’s nearby wooden grocery store, spread to Bassett’s Millinery Store and then to Dr. R.J. Gilliam’s Drug Store. The large fire also destroyed the printing plant of the Reporter, Orlando’s first newspaper.
