The Cypress House is a Federal-style home constructed in 1835. Our property resides on 24 acres, along the bank of the Susquehanna River. In 1987, our family dedicated their hearts and hands to restoring the property to it's original glory. The estate features a stone barn dating back to 1817 and meticulously kept colonial gardens bursting with boxwood, magnolias, and garden roses. We are family owned and operated. When you choose to get married here, your wedding day is cared for and celebrated like you’re a part of our family. We specialize in outdoor, garden-side weddings, stunning candle lit receptions in our wood-grain pole tent, and the most talented in-house Floral and Design team. When you book with The Cypress House, you will also get to work with on of our Cypress Coordinators to ensure your planning process and wedding day are flawlessly executed.

I held my wedding at the Cypress House on May 27th and I cannot use a better word to describe the day than "perfect". The Cypress House is a truly exceptional venue and it is even more gorgeous than the photos. We hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the venue. I cannot tell how many times throughout our wedding day my husband and I were asked "how did you find this place?!" Not only is the venue stunning but the staff is nothing short of exceptional. The three sisters who run this venue take tremendous pride in this place and it shows. They were all easy to work with and were so accommodating of my busy schedule while planning my wedding. Courtney made coordinating all aspects of the venue easy and provided an excellent list of vendors which were AMAZING. Alexa added the most gorgeous designs and rentals that enhanced our day and made it feel like us. Chelsea provided some of the most stunning florals ever and transformed our ceremony flowers into a gorgeous sweetheart table. The staff that helped us on the day was also amazing and we laughed at many points because they are so organized and on top of things we felt like we had the secret service keeping our wedding day running smoothly! Finally our day of coordinator Chloe was so easy to work with and immediately felt like a friend helping us make the day run perfectly. I would book the Cypress House 1000 times over and I am so happy that I chose to have my wedding at this venue. I cannot thank the Cypress House and their team enough for the amazing day they provided us.

Our June 2022 wedding at Rusty Rail was better than I imagined. Not only is the space amazing, but the staff were friendly and attentive. They did a great job taking totes of decor I brought and styling the space with it. The food was out of this world and we keep getting rave reviews from our guests. It’s about two hours from where we live so the question we have been asked most was “how did we find this place?!”. The Manor at Mountain View was the perfect find for the owners. The rustic feel with modern-day conveniences was a must. But, what was also a must was to have a venue that the word beautiful could not even describe it but, yet to keep it affordable so that so many people could come and enjoy this spectacular piece of property. The Tavern (Groom's Tavern) has its original barn beams as this was at one time a bank barn. The rustic charm matches the rod iron chandeliers in the room leading to the tavern. In 2007 the former owners built an addition to the facility that speaks volumes, equipped with windows throughout to show off the amazing view... It really is breathtaking. Today the owners have renovated all the rooms in the building but, kept the rustic charm. It brings the family great joy to see so many people happy when they visit the property and to be able to share so many events with the individuals that rent the property is a joy that is indescribable.

I couldn't have picked a better place to get married. Everyone told me to expect at least one thing to go wrong on my wedding day. The only bad thing that happened was that it rained! (Obviously uncontrollable) however, the coordinators still made it perfect. The inside was set up perfectly. I only truly wanted our pictures outside. They literally followed me around with umbrellas and followed my bridesmaids around with hair dryers to dry our dresses and keep us looking our best all while they were getting wet! I received SO many compliments on my wedding. Multiple people during the days after said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended!

From the first visit through to the end of the wedding, we truly felt cared for and that they wanted our day to be as special as we did. The entire grounds and Barns are gorgeous and well taken care of. Everything is so pretty that we didn't feel the need to do too many of our own decorations, which meant less work and cost for us. The communication throughout the process was easy and very responsive. In the last two weeks before the wedding, I needed help making some decisions and the venue coordinator listened, answered questions, and offered advice. The actual wedding weekend was just the best time. We had a spacious and comfortable area to spend the day with our bridal party and get ready on site. All of our guests commented on what a great place it was and how beautiful it turned out. The staff is just so friendly and checked on us throughout the night. We loved everything about having our wedding here and wouldn't change a thing!

We're a historic barn, built in the 1700's. But we have all of the modern amenities! Excellent food from caring chefs and staff, bar service through us, heat & air, and these are just some of the essentials you'll expect. We have 95 acres of breath-taking views, an outdoor patio which comes with hanging decor, chandeliers and is covered with a clear tent so as not to miss the views. You'll start your day in the Carriage House which is our Bridal Suite and Groom's Quarters. This is a fabulous space for your entire wedding party to get the day started! We have three spaces for ceremonies to make sure you're covered no matter the weather. The seating for dinner in the barn is between 75-185. The seating for dinner on the patio is between 75-240.

The photos on here hardly do any justice for how gorgeous this venue actually is. We had the joy of coordinating for a couple here and were in awe of how beautiful each space was. From the stunning outdoor ceremony space, to the fun patio for cocktail hour, and the upstairs reception space that would have been just fine with no extra decor at all. Not to mention the adorable carriage house which was an awesome bonus for the couple to get ready and hang out in prior to the ceremony. It was truly amazing and Becky was wonderful to work with. Honorable mention to the ceiling fan chandeliers on the patio (a busy vendors dream break spot) and the delicious food!

My husband and I decided to get married last-minute due to my mom's late cancer diagnosis and terminal prognosis. With only two months, our options for venues were very limited. Harmony Hall Estate quickly became the obvious choice! PROS: Their pricing package is flexible, with lots of options to tailor your experience to your budget. With great options for in-house catering and decorating, you'll save a lot of money and time on both. You can also pay an additional fee to bring in outside caterers. The food at our wedding came from Karen's Catering, their in-house caterer. We enjoyed our dishes at dinner and during cocktail hour. The pretzel cart absolutely hit the spot, though, and was a hit with our guests. Overall, I'd say the food was satisfying. The bar options, like the food packages, are quite flexible. We chose to prepay our bar tab for our guests, which allowed us to be open bar up to a certain price. We were able to add more to that tab via cash during the wedding. The venue itself is beautiful, with plenty of outdoor location choices for your ceremony. The location is convenient, with hotels nearby and shuttles that run you and your guests to and from the venue. The farmhouse to get ready in is gorgeous and historic, making it a wonderful location for pictures. There are plenty of places on the property for taking beautiful portraits with your partner and family. The ballroom is spacious, with flexible floor plans that Jill will work with you to design. You'll receive access to Aisle Planner when you book with Harmony Hall Estate, which is a nice online service to upload all of your wedding information. Included is a service to make your reception floor plan. CONS: I was told the key to the farmhouse would be placed in the lockbox, but couldn't find it morning of. None of the contacts at Harmony Hall answered when I called, and it took us nearly 45 minutes of searching to finally find the key in a mailbox. We lost a lot of valuable time to get ready, which created stress, and on top of that the farmhouse was so hot that my bridesmaids and I were sweating bullets while trying to do our hair and makeup. The temperature inside the building was in the mid and upper seventies, which was brutal with so many people and hot hair tools on. Additionally, while they have plenty of pricing options, I will say that their information package is somewhat confusing and rather lengthy. It could be tweaked to be more streamlined for the sake of clarity. The crab dip that we paid extra for during cocktail hour was disappointing. I don't recommend paying the upcharge for it, sadly. It's also good to keep in mind that you will pay the same price for a vendor's plate as you will one of your guests. This wasn't communicated to me until I asked, so I do recommend that the staff at Harmony Hall make sure their clients are aware of this. Our bartender, though kind, was unfamiliar with many of today's popular drinks and was rather slow, which was disappointing. OVERALL: Harmony Hall Estate is a great venue for a budget-friendly, beautiful wedding! I'd like to add as a disclaimer that our timeline for wedding planning was especially short, so some of the shortcomings when it comes to clarity/explanations of things may very well just be due to our rushed timeline. Since we are based in Kentucky, it made it harder to communicate effectively with Jill and the team at Harmony Hall.

I have hosted and attended MANY events at Stokesay from small birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, baptisms, and weddings. Each event has been better than the one before. ALL of the staff at Stokesay is excellent to work with. The event coordinators are knowledgeable and accommodating. They are always willing to answer any questions, and they are eager to assist with menu choices, room layouts, decor ideas and coordination of the timeline the day of the event. The servers and bartenders are always happy to help with anything, and Chef Willie is top notch! Luis is always available to help in any way he can and is always checking in to make sure the host and the guests are enjoying every aspect of their Stokesay experience. My NYC-based family thought I was a little crazy when I told them we were getting married out in PA, but boy were they wow’d by the beauty of The Booking House. Words cannot express just how wonderful this venue is. From start-to-finish, we were/are absolutely over-the-moon about how our wedding day unfolded. First, everyone on The Booking House team is so kind and thoughtful. Brittany (sales director) was our first point-of-contact and was more than happy to answer my first set of 101 questions. J.P. (owner) warmly greeted us at 8 AM on a Sunday (with some champagne) and gave us a comprehensive tour of the space where he answered my next set of 101 questions. And the coordination team — Aalea, Autumn, and Emilie — were all amazing sounding boards over 18 months of very tedious planning. This entire team was always quick to respond and share recommendations — they kept a very Type A, out-of-state bride from feeling overwhelmed. Second, you can make this space 100% your own — it is truly a blank canvas. Every wedding at The Booking House is unique — definitely take a peek at their Instagram. Our wedding truly felt like OUR WEDDING versus some cookie-cutter event. I think we changed our vision 2 - 3 times before finally settling on the right style and it was actually… perfect. Every space/room looked even more beautiful than I could have possibly imagined. Third, opting into The Booking House coordinator add-on was the best investment we made. Aalea was an absolute rockstar early on, and Autumn was my source of calm from 3 months out until when we left the venue at 11 PM that night. She kept us on track along the way and made what could have been a very stressful 24 hours very not stressful. Even our parents and wedding party were so impressed with how on-top-of-things Autumn was — from the rehearsal, to the morning of, through the ceremony and reception. She managed the arrival of all our vendors and oversaw the execution of the entire venue experience while we were spending time with our loved ones. There were at least 3x on our wedding day where I told Autumn that I was just so grateful to have her there. If you choose to have your wedding at The Booking House, please make sure to hire their in-house coordinator so you can actually enjoy your big day. Our wedding was a literal dream come true. We had several guests tell us at and after our wedding that, “this was the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” I highly recommend this venue to couples who are not looking for a “same old, same old” catering hall, country club, or farm/barn wedding. If you’re looking for a magical, memorable, one-of-a-kind wedding, look no further.

The bottom line is that I don’t think we could’ve chosen a better venue for our wedding. We visited for a tour in March of 2022 and fell in love, despite not being able to see it during the fall. It had everything we wanted: beautiful grounds, convenient accommodation, amazing food, and the versatility to tailor it all to what we wanted for ourselves and our guests. We’d already loved what we were getting with Glasbern, but I think we were most surprised and impressed with the attention and care we received throughout our stay. We were lucky enough to be able to spend 2 days before the wedding and really experience the place without the whirlwind of planned wedding activities. The Garden Cottage was even better than we’d hoped – it was private, beautiful and so comfortable. We treated ourselves to a couples massage at the spa, which was a great move with how quickly the pace quickened afterwards. We hosted our rehearsal dinner in the Grainery, and the food, drinks, and atmosphere were perfect. Megan had been our point-of-contact for months, and I can’t thank her enough for her seemingly unending patience for my many MANY emails and questions. Hazel was our event manager starting with the rehearsal, and she was on top of everything. Even a day before the wedding, there were things we hadn’t considered, and she handled them all! We went over our mountain of bins and decoration and favors, and she was able to turn my vague direction into something magical. On the day of the wedding, I met Morgan who was everywhere I needed her to be ALL DAY. She had an uncanny knack for popping up out of nowhere, often immediately before I needed her. I had spent 1.5 years worrying about every little thing, and all that anxiety melted away, thanks to these ladies! All the staff we encountered were wonderful and so friendly. It really felt like everyone just wanted us to have a worry-free great time, and I think we all did. I’ve heard nothing but praise from our family and friends. For the weeks leading up to our wedding day, the weather forecast showed rain for our wedding day. During the 2 days we stayed beforehand, the weather was gorgeous, so we walked the grounds to soak in how beautiful it was, knowing we weren’t going to be so lucky for our special day. On the morning of the wedding, Morgan stopped by with white umbrellas (another really lovely touch by Glasbern). While I’m sure we still would’ve had amazing photo opportunities in rain, we didn’t have to find out because everything cleared up right before we were ready for photos. Everywhere you looked was just beautiful. We haven’t received our photos from the photographer yet, but I can’t wait to see them. I am certain that I’m forgetting details and personal touches because there were so many, but we were both so impressed with how smoothly things went and how beautiful everything was. No wedding is going to be cheap, but we felt like our money was well spent for how perfect everything was. Thank you Glasbern!

We could not have asked for a better wedding venue. Everything about it was perfect…the food, the view, the atmosphere, and THE STAFF!!! Kevin was with us every step of the way from the initial walk-through to food tastings to rehearsal all the way through to the wedding. His event day staff was incredible at coordination and communicating which definitely played a part in our perfect day. I realized I forgot my bouquet right before I was about to walk down the aisle and in less than a minute one of the staff members brought it down to me, avoiding any timing hiccups. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, reasonably priced venue, this is your place!
