The MV Skansonia is Seattle’s premier waterfront venue. Constructed in 1929 by the Skansie Brothers, the Skansonia ferried cars and passengers between Vashon Island and Point Defiance for decades, before finding its permanent docking place on Lake Union and beginning its new career in event hosting. With its signature center bar, polished wood floors, a large outdoor deck, and a postcard view of the Seattle skyline, the Skansonia is the embodiment of iconic Seattle.

Imperia Lake Union is situated in former historic Lake Union Café, originally built in 1927 and converted to an event venue over 20 years ago. A 6,000 square foot private event space overlooking Lake Union from the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle, Imperia features 10-foot chandeliers, copper ceilings, a built-in dance floor, gourmet menus, premium florals, incredible staff, and so much more. With a Roaring 20’s Art-Deco vibe and a rumored history of being a prohibition-era speakeasy, you’ll be transported into living history and a classic elegance when you host your event with us.

Fremont Abbey is our main venue at 43rd & Fremont Avenue North in Seattle. The 1914 building was reopened in 2008 after undergoing major renovations including seismic, design, environment & visual improvements. As of 2023, we have installed a brand new HVAC system with air filtration and air-conditioning to our main upstairs hall. Now a beautiful & welcoming multi-use venue with a warm vintage style, the Abbey welcomes up to 250 people for events of many varieties including nonprofit galas, private weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, workshops, classes and more. We view weddings as an artistic, creative, community-celebrated gathering centered around the love and commitment of two people. As part of our nonprofit mission, we want to develop a partnership with you (as a member of the Abbey) to help create a beautiful and unique event for you and your loved ones. The Wallingford Venue is ideal for larger events at 4,500 square feet. Overlooking the stunning Lake Union, the studio, which offers beautiful, polished wood flooring, a grand stage, and homey, understated elegance, is a lovely backdrop for your ceremony or reception. It also offers a full kitchen for any catering requirements, as well as a thorough sound system. For smaller ceremonies, the Greenlake studio, at 1,000 square feet, is equally suitable. This venue has two smaller rooms which can be used as “getting-ready rooms” and a warm, inviting lobby. Inside the studio, you can find an impressive wall of mirrors. The Fremont Foundry is a versatile event venue located in the heart of the charming Fremont neighborhood. A former working metal foundry and artist commune custom built by local artist Peter Bevis, the Fremont Foundry is where some of Seattle’s most iconic art such as the Jimi Hendrix statue was created. Host your event in a sky-lit atrium with a 20-ft ceiling while drinks are being prepared in the outdoor courtyard, or share your vows on the rooftop terrace with sweeping views of North Seattle and enjoy a delicious dinner and lively reception in our historic space.
