And, I don't even have the words for this one, so multiply everything I'm saying by 120. LM Studio, and Paulette specifically, was the best part of our wedding point blank period. They hit on all accords with us and our guests, and the worst part of the whole occasion is that I can't go back there on the regular and just hang out. MULTIPLE GUESTS including my father, with a lifetime of weddings, said the food was not just good BUT THE BEST WEDDING FOOD they have ever had. There wasn't a single complaint. And we agree just delicious. Scenery vibes - you're not going to do better. From the wall art/decor pierces, paint, textures, fabrics, colors, SO MUCH VELVET - there's so much to see. Guests also reported widely "there's not a single place in this venue that isn't ideal for a photo opp. It was just beautiful and we really wanted something that carried some weight decor wise. This place was my perfect match. Aesthetically, it's millions of bucks. I loved every part of it and going there, taking pictures, and just enjoying the luxury throughout the planning process was also such a joy. There's really so much more I could rave on for days about but the most important thing for couples to know is about Paulette who runs Events and Catering. The best way to sum it up is I want to be friends with Paulette. She made me feel important, like a priority, and really cared for from the proposal process until we said good night at the wedding. She is a gem and such a charismatic pleasure to be around. The people you hire to be around you on this day cannot be undervalued! They are the glue to hold everything together. Paulette worked with us on everything from vision to budget, she is so organized, so everything. I just cannot. I actually intended to write this review the day after my wedding because I love her so much, but still I don't even have the words to really convey the impression she left on us. LM gave me an even more perfect vision of everything I prayed for. Our wedding was PERFECT, and I know people don't say that a lot. Of course, there were hiccups but the things that were so perfect like everything at LM outweighed everything else. I wouldn't do anything differently in this part of the planning. Everyone in Chicago who vibes with the space should get married there. The pics are worth it enough if all the didn't make an impression. It really was a 10/10 and Paulette gave 100/10. It's also one of the last places where you feel good about what you're getting for what you're paying for... which we all learn is too rare in the wedding industry. We hardly added any of our own décor aside from our floral pieces and it was all the space needed. By utilizing the main dining space as well as their sister bar only a few steps away, we were able to have a seamless evening filled with delicious food, family and friends. When we had a slight mishap with our cake the day of the wedding they had already reached out to the bakery on our behalf before the wedding was over and a partial refund for the cake was secured by the next morning. Our wedding day ran smoothly thanks to Kalila and Alyssa. I felt as though I did not have to worry about a thing. The planning team handled all communication with vendors and kept us on schedule which allowed for us both to be very present on our big day. I have to highlight the spacious bridal suite as it was the perfect place to start the day. With 9 bridesmaids, a mother of the bride and a mother of the groom you naturally worry about any space feeling cramped but the separate getting ready stations and lounge area allowed everyone to be relaxed and comfortable the morning of the wedding and throughout the wedding day. This was also the perfect space to be tucked away post ceremony to enjoy our first moments together as newlyweds. Walden had our signature drinks and the appetizers waiting for us to enjoy a quiet moment alone before heading down to join our cocktail hour. The rooftop at golden hour made for some breathtaking photos, the ceremony space lit with candles crated the perfect ambiance for our Friday evening ceremony, and the cocktail and reception spaces decorated to fit our vision made for the most memorable day. After the tasting party a few months prior to the wedding, we knew the food and drinks were going to be a stand out part of the evening. Because we were given multiple options for appetizers, salads, mains and drinks, we were really able to personalize the menus to our taste. Guests raved about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Walden seamlessly accommodated various guests food restrictions and allergies as well. As we look back on our wedding day, all we can do is smile. The combination of the beautiful spaces, top-notch planning, and incredible food and drinks made our special day even more memorable. We highly recommend Walden to any couple looking to make their Chicago wedding dreams come true.”

“It is hard to put into words just how extraordinary my wedding was at the CAA. The catering team made the planning process such an enjoyable one and I had complete trust in each person involved. The ballrooms are unlike any in the city: elegant and historic with gorgeous views. We had our ceremony and reception in the White City Ballroom, overlooking Millennium Park and the lake. The Executive Chef and Pastry Chef are extremely inventive and I can assure you that this is not your typical hotel wedding plated dinner. The tasting was such a fun day and it became so clear that I had picked the right venue for my wedding. The team made us feel so special and personalized the whole experience for us. My wedding guests are still gushing over the dinner months later! They also offer table-side choice of entree and synchronized service, which was truly incredible to watch! The servers were so dedicated to proving the best service. The Director of Banquets and Banquet Manager went over the top to make sure this was a stress free day for me. I never had to worry about a thing! We had an after party in the Game Room. It was great to have such a fun spot to go after the wedding...in the same building. My guests loved it! “Loft on Lake (LoL) was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had 120 guests and held the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. It was just the right amount of space for a large amount of guests to enjoy themselves while keeping and intimate vibe. We worked with Art of Imagination (AoI) to decorate the space. AoI has a strong relationship with LoL and that really came through in the execution of the day-of look. We also worked with Jill Garrett (Venue Director at LoL) as a day-of coordinator. She was flexible and calm throughout all stages of planning, easing all our worries leading up to the event. On the actual wedding day she took care of everything without me even being aware. It really helped us to be present in the moment without worrying about transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. “I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. “I couldn't be happier with our decision to book The Carter as our wedding venue! The staff made the night go flawlessly. My wedding coordinator even commented how impressed she was with how quick their staff was able to move throughout setup during the day. She also complimented the catering coordinator as being a complete pro. With The Carter you are required to use their caterer, D'Absolute, but that was not a problem for us because the food was phenomenal. Wedding food can be hit or miss, but we had multiple guests raving about everything from the apps to the late night snacks. Chris allowed us to include 2 signature drinks and customized our bar menu to whatever we wanted. Since I got married on my birthday Chris even upgraded our glassware free of charge which was such a sweet, unexpected gesture! They are very flexible with how you want to use the space, which I loved because we were able to make the event truly unique. What sold me on the space is that you don't need to add much additional decor because it's so beautiful on its own. The connecting courtyard comes with string lights. The interior space includes multiple chandeliers and string lights over the dance floor. Most other places you'd need to bring those details in, and pay for them. What I also love about the space is you get the "lofty, urban" feel without all of the pillars/poles in a typical loft space. You get high ceilings and an open floor plan, which makes the space look so much nicer (in my opinion). The cost is a little pricier than other venues we explored, however I 100% think we paid for higher quality and I have zero regrets.”

“Our family held a rehearsal dinner for 60 people at Porter Kitchen on a beautiful night last fall and had the most wonderful experience. We worked with Laura, who shepherded us through the entire process from beginning to end. She welcomed every idea and desire we had with open arms, allowed us to bring in outside vendors for tables and chairs, linens, glassware and flowers and never once said “no” to any request we had. She introduced us to the chef at our tasting and he was fantastic with a willingness to adjust their entrée presentation and ingredients as long as we used ingredients that were already on their menu. They made adjustments for guests with gluten allergies and chef did all of this with a willingness to make his guests happy, without ego. The meal he and the staff served was spectacular and the table service matched the food. Throughout the evening, the ratio of staff to guests was abundant. Passed appetizers flowed continuously and there was never any wait for drinks. They encouraged us to stream our own Spotify playlists through their sound system to create the atmosphere we were seeking and helped us play videos on their multiple TV’s as well. By the end of the evening, our guests were raving about the event and how warmly they were treated the entire evening by the staff. Regardless of the type of event you are holding, this is a location on the river that is not to be missed and a more importantly, an exceptionally professional and accommodating staff that will help your vison come to life. Porter Kitchen easily exceeded all expectations and has earned our highest recommendation!”

“Hangout Lighting was a fantastic choice for our wedding reception venue. Jen's communication throughout the planning process was extremely prompt and helpful. I was looking for a space that was already partially decorated and set up, one that had some indoor and outdoor space, as well as one that allowed us to bring in any vendors of our choosing. Hangout Lighting delivered on all these points. We loved the lighting (of course!) and that the beautiful farmhouse tables and chairs were already perfectly in place. Jen offered a lot of flexibility in the timing of the day as well, so we could choose the number of hours that fit our event. I wish we could have celebrated past the 10pm last call and, looking back, might have started our event earlier in the evening to have more time. But all of the rules and guidance were extremely well communicated ahead of time, so we knew what we were getting into. The free street parking was plentiful, and the location worked great for us. Very glad we were able to celebrate our wedding at Hangout Lighting during the first year that they were hosting events in the space, as I think we got a great deal as well, having compared prices with some similar places in the area.
