The Hummingbird Chateau has multiple indoor and outdoor options for both ceremony and reception. Included in the venue rental is barn wood tables, white farm house chairs for reception, antique white folding chairs for outdoor ceremonies and pews for indoor ceremonies. With many more rental options available depending on your vision for the "Big Day"! We are in the process of completing renovations to the barn and grounds, more pictures to come! The Donaldson Brown Riverfront Event Center is a stately setting for an up-scale wedding experience whose tone is evident upon arrival. Located 200 feet atop Mount Ararat, the estate overlooks the Susquehanna River. The manor’s rooms feature original fixtures such as its spiral stairways, arched doorways, antique chandeliers, and subtle wall moldings for an effect of refined elegance. Its manicured lawn looks out over the deep waters of the Susquehanna River providing a stunning backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Couples can celebrate in the lap of luxury, with overnight accommodations in 17 exquisitely decorated rooms. This stunning manor has presided over the Susquehanna River since 1939. The mansion’s red-brick façade is a perfect example of Georgian-Revival style popular at the time. One of Maryland’s most iconic houses, it was bequeathed to the University of Maryland in 1965. “The moment I saw Bohemia Overlook, I knew it was the Wedding venue for us. The Venue is affordable and offers a good amount of accommodations that other venues do not and would cost extra even. The little things do matter, it adds up as we all know. The Venue kept in great contact with me and responded to me right away with questions I had through the whole experience and worked with me. Such a beautiful Venue. Was nervous when I found out a new owner took over, but realized quickly I didn’t need to be. The new owners kept up with the same pace of communication and response time and even on our Wedding day they greeted us and made sure everything was going good. We even got a beautiful view of the water on the hill for some wedding photos. My Wife and I enjoy coming here for different events and the wine room when it’s open. This place will forever be a cherished memory and not everyone can say that they can go back to where they got married. So much more to say about this place, but without going on a rant, just know this place is amazing. To even include how beautiful the barn looks upstairs at night, wasn’t expecting that since we usually see it during the day.”
