The church boasts the world-famous 9 Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse stained-glass windows. The only Chagall stained-glass windows in the U.S. Commissioned by the Rockefeller family and Henri Matisse’s last work, the Rose Window creates a dramatic combination of art, beauty, and spirituality. After you have exchanged your vows, you and your partner can walk down the aisle marveling at the eye-catching windows above. The beautiful Reception Hall provides style and comfort! The building dates back to 1837, a three-level structure which was built by William Nelson. Peekskill lawyer, Congressman, and friend to Abraham Lincoln. A small stage, built on the 3rd floor in 1870, was identified as the “Dramatic Hall.” This emblematic building had been abandoned for about 20 years and fallen into disrepair until 2012, a complete renovation took place restoring the 1870-era theater. The Dramatic Hall serves as a space to host weddings, private parties, plays, live music performances, and more.
