Aloha! I'm Roman. I've been living on the magical island of O'ahu since I came to UH Manoa in 2009 for my Economics Degree. I got involved with the University radio station (90.1 FM), started doing live events, and really loved showing off my rare music finds. Nothing beats the feeling of rocking a live crowd for track after track, especially after the long pause in events! DJing is all I do for "work", and I love it! Each wedding or event I play is full of different people and different ages from all over the world, and they all have differing tastes in music- blending so many different genres and styles of music is such a fun challenge!

Being in public and having fun with others is not always an easy task for some. But if I can encourage “just one person” to be themselves and don’t worry about what people think about their dancing I feel I did more than make a person dance. I feel like I built their self-esteem.

She has also performed for Steve Harvey, on the nationally syndicated TV game show, Family Feud. Most recently, Ashley has toured cross-country with Grammy nominated singer/songwriter and musician, El DeBarge. Ashley received her Masters in Music and Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Prior to her graduate coursework and study abroad, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at School of Jazz at The New School.
