UPSCALE, WHIMSICAL & ORGANIC DESIGNS FOR WEDDINGS & EVENTS Our florals are designed in-house, organic and full of texture. We design elevated garden-style florals for all of life’s beautiful celebrations. We are inspired by farmer’s market flowers, and always use locally grown and sourced flowers, including from our own cutting garden. Our bridal bouquets are to die for! As an expert Event Floral Designer/Event Stylist, I work with you from initial consultation to delivering your beautiful event flowers. Our full service custom floral design minimum investment starts at $10,000+ and $3,800+ for smaller events and gatherings (pre-tax).

My now husband and I have said multiple times that the best wedding-related decision we made was to work with Glory. To simply say that she goes above and beyond for her couples does not fully capture her level of dedication. We connected from our first phone meeting and she continued to be incredibly patient, giving, and thoughtful throughout our wedding planning journey (which included an unexpected job move across the country!). Her vision and execution are outstanding. I still cannot get over the stunning floral arrangements and special little details she put together for our wedding day. The vendors she helped us choose made things run smoothly and at the same level of excellence. Our guests had a fantastic time. We're so grateful to have worked with Glory. She is the best!

JR Flowers

5.0

Leesburg, VA
  • Starts at $8,000

Welcome to JR Flowers! Our design style is “elegance with flair”, similar to a romantic, upscale garden. We absolutely love providing lush and colorful designs for our clients. Flowers are such an integral part of weddings and events and we love every aspect of designing and working with them. It can be overwhelming trying to decide on the best flowers on your own, so let us take that stress away for you! You tell us how you want your wedding to feel and give us your favorite colors, we can handle the rest! We are happy to sit down with you and discuss all of the floral details for your joyous day.

I had the pleasure of working with Shirley and the team and JR Flowers for a recent wedding, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Shirley is a true professional who is dedicated to creating beautiful and unique floral designs. Throughout the planning process, Shirley was attentive, responsive, and flexible, working closely with me and my couple to ensure that every detail was just right. Her creativity and attention to detail were apparent in every aspect of her work, from the breathtaking centerpieces to the elegant bouquet carried by my Bride, Ella. On the day of the wedding, Shirley and her team arrived early and worked tirelessly to set up the ceremony and welcome area and then stayed on site to assist in a quick room flip for the reception, ensuring that everything was perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend JR Flowers to any couple looking for a talented and professional florist for their wedding day. Shirley’s work is truly exceptional, and I have no doubt that she will continue to create stunning floral designs for years to come. Thanks again, Shirley, for nailing my client’s vision perfectly! The planning team at Black Orchid Events looks forward to working alongside you again in the near future.

PETALOS DC

5.0

Ashburn, VA
  • Starts at $155 per arrangement

Petalos is a floral design studio led by Karla Valle-Mannes. I am passionate about flowers, and I work hard to make each project unique. Nothing makes me feel more happy and alive than designing. It’s my passion! I love to help couples to realize the vision they have for their event. I look forward to working with you, and helping you bring your dreams to life!

The flowers were perfect, but my favorite thing about Karla is that I told her my budget and she stayed within it! She put together an inspiration board of my vision, and her finished product looked just like what we had planned. Somehow she was able to deliver personal flowers (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, flower girl basket & petals, and even added an adorable headband for the flower girl), a gorgeous arch for the ceremony, and a very romantic tablescape of candles & bud vases- all for a very reasonable cost. During the planning it was faster to get in touch with her over text rather than email. On the day of the wedding there were no problems with the drop off and setup, and she also collected the bud vases which helped immensely to decrease the cleanup effort. Karla was very flexible with me incorporating some of my own DIY into the decoration, where some other florists might have had an issue with it. The whole day went smoothly, and the flowers were truly so beautiful and contributed to the happy springtime mood of the wedding. I would absolutely work with Karla again.

I was so overwhelmed when I first started looking for florists for our wedding. There are so many options, and I didn’t even know where to start until I found Poppy. They break down the process and steps, making it super easy, almost to the point that it doesn’t feel real. To start, you meet with a floral consultant where you talk through your wedding details, the vibe you’re going for, the general needs, etc. Then they walk you through a list of various wedding floral options: bouquets, table arrangements, signage florals, ceremony florals, etc., and you start to narrow down what you want. In each section, they have a grouping of photos, and you can either select something from that or ask for more options. You can also tweak what they have shown (I picked florals that had eucalyptus in them and requested everything be switched to ruscus). After that, you have a while to go back in and adjust until a deadline, but they accommodated some last-minute adds I had as well. Our consultant was Sophia, and she was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Closer to the wedding, you get assigned a local florist who does the actual designing/styling and installing, and we were lucky enough to get Ron, who matched our inspo images EXACTLY. Everything was so beautiful, and I was so in love with my bouquet. He was also incredibly nice and set everything up so quickly. If you’re looking for something to make the whole floral selection easy, simple, and beautiful (also super transparent with costs), definitely go with Poppy!!

Jessica and her team did the florals for our wedding, and they were AMAZING! She was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. I reached out to many florists, and she was patient and intentional, taking my mumbled jumbled ideas and putting together something magical for our big day. No idea was too big or small. We had several one-on-one meetings, and she put together an inspirational slide deck. That’s when I truly started to see all the pieces coming together! She worked within my budget and let me know beforehand if there would be any additional costs based on what I wanted. It was also nice because I could handle all my floral rentals through her (things like vases and candles) without needing to contact additional vendors. On the actual wedding day, Jessica and her team were incredibly kind, keeping me at ease. I trusted her to get creative and make decisions when I didn't have an exact plan for something. Cannot recommend f&b enough!

First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.

First of all, on behalf of myself, the bride and groom, and both of our families I'd like to offer a sincere THANK YOU for all that you did behind the scenes, especially throughout the very long day of the wedding. When I say, we couldn't have done it without you, that is a huge understatement. When we first booked the wedding venue, all of our friends who had had their children's weddings there stated how wonderful the person who was supposed to be our 'day of' wedding coordinator was in making sure things went smoothly. While I trusted their opinion, I quickly realized that he was an employee of the venue and might have conflicting priorities regarding the actual wedding day as it unfolded. They all questioned my need for a private wedding planner, but I am so happy I trusted my instincts to bring you on board because it is impossible, despite hours of planning to make sure all things go as expected during the various parts of the wedding, without help. Many things did not go as planned at the wedding, but very few because of our advanced work with you. Going forward, I will strongly recommend hiring a wedding planner and your company will definitely be on the short list of endorsed wedding vendors. Your calmness, regardless of what was going on, along with your competence to actually get things done was truly appreciated. As a perfectionist, I realized that there would be snafus along the way, but being able to depend on you helped temper my disappointment as they inevitably arose. I knew if something could be fixed, if you saw it or I mentioned it, needed changes would be made. As you well know, you only get one chance to create the wedding of someone's dreams, so having you and your team do everything possible to make that happen is priceless. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how the wedding turned out – the bride and groom and our guests really enjoyed themselves and I know that all the advanced work, with your guidance, really made the difference. Thank you Jen!

I've had a chance to work with Chic Wedding and Events for several weddings. As a photographer, timing, communication, and flexibility are vital to me. I've worked through +200 weddings and, let me tell you, weddings can and definitely are stressful. You want someone to be there to assist you on the day of the wedding. Sure, you might be able to allocate a friend or bridal party member to handle these things, but honestly, you probably want everyone to enjoy the wedding day. This is where a wedding planner and day of coordinator will be vital. Based on experience, they know how much time each items takes, buffer times, how to communicate, and make sure you are having the best time at your wedding. I've worked with many planners in the past; Chic Weddings are top notch - 100000% worth it. Everything just gets done. No questions asked. Just as I'm about to ask them about any updates on the day of the wedding, there they are providing updates. Any requests I have from the photography side, they are open to. They listen, they care, and they take action - not just for the couples but all the vendors they work it. It makes the worlds of a difference from my point of view. Thank you wonderful ladies~!! Always a pleasure to see you and work with you all~! <3 Justin Kunimoto Justin Kunimoto Photography
