Since I was a young girl I have loved art. Drawing, painting, taking photos with my grandma's disposable cameras. Fast forward twenty years later, I'm still that same girl with the same passion. I picked up my first professional camera a little over four years ago and haven't looked back since. After my son was born I realized how important and fast life moments go by and I didn't want to forget a single one! My introduction to photography came when I was five years old, and my parents bought me a plastic Fischer-Price 110 camera. I dragged it everywhere. I moved on from taking pictures of the family dog to photojournalism for the school newspaper. In high school, I learned classical darkroom technique. I have earned a Bachelor's of the Arts from the George Washington University, a Master's of the Arts from the University of East Anglia in the UK, and I further studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. My current approach to wedding photography builds upon my background in fashion photography and photojournalism.

People and photography have been a mainstay in my life since my own family began the process of documenting their lives, and sharing their photographic memories and pictures for future generations. I have the fondest of memories of sorting through my grandparents old photographs and carefully leather bound albums, from the black and white staged portraits of generations past, to the faded color snapshots and candids of my childhood. My family has influenced me to explore the world, as they once did, teaching me an acceptance and sensitivity of cultural differences.
