Hi, I'm Kate! I am a full time photographer based in RI. I photograph hybrid 35mm film and digital portraits. I travel throughout New England and love working with fun, adventurous couples. Most of my work has a very natural feel to it. I capture moments, making for a very lighthearted, low stress day. I am a roll-with-the-punches sort of person, which comes in handy since no wedding day ever goes totally to plan! I focus on the joy, laughter, gratitude and everything in between! I have a Bachelor of Art in Fine Art and Photography and incorporate my knowledge of composition, lighting and art to deliver portraits that will perfectly compliment your memories of your wedding day. I am right in the middle of a photojournalistic photographer and a classic photographer. You'll get the fun walking, dancing, laughing images plus the classic portrait style images too. I aim for my work to be timeless and something you'll be proud to show your grandchildren.

If you’re considering booking Polar Square Designs, just do it! Kate was so responsive, professional, helpful and flexible. Neither my husband nor I love having our photos taken (especially in public) but Kate made us feel totally comfortable on our engagement shoot at the beach and we ended up with some incredible shots. The turnaround time to get our whole gallery back was so quick. Leading up to our wedding, Kate’s questionnaire helped us nail down what shots we really wanted and the timeline she came up with was very helpful! On our wedding day, Kate and the second shooter Allison worked together so well and made sure we got all the shots we wanted! Everything flowed perfect and they did an amazing job capturing our best day ever! We received a bunch of “sneak peek” images less than 24 hours after our wedding and they’re all so good! Kate’s creativity and skill are evident in the results. I highly recommend Polar Square Designs!

We are the luckiest people in the world because Kate from Polar Square Designs photographed our wedding! When we first spoke over the phone several months prior to our wedding, we knew we were in the best of hands. Kate is extremely organized and helped us figure out many details, which created the schedule and vision for the day. Kate guided us through our photo moments in an enjoyable way that allowed us to be at ease and genuinely have fun which radiates in each photo. Kate's ability to capture candid moments of pure joy between ourselves, our family, friends, NYYC members and vendors, will never cease to amaze us as we reflect on our day.
