The Chicken Slacks are "Boston's Hardest Working Classic Soul, Funk, and R&B Band"! We consist of 7-members and when we play weddings or other events we include a sound engineer with some stage lighting. We also provide other services for an extra fee. We held down a 15-year residency at The Word Famous Cantab Lounge in Central Square, Cambridge, MA before the 2020 pandemic. Not only am I the band's client relations manager, I also play saxophone and am the band's emcee. Kelsey Foeller is a violinist from Rhode Island. Kelsey has been performing at wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, engagements as well as private events for over six years all over Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. Kelsey is a classically trained violinist with over 20 years of experience. She has been featured as a soloist with the Rhode Island College Chamber Orchestra. Kelsey was the concertmaster of the University of Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Kelsey has played with various orchestras in the state of Rhode Island including the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Ocean State Orchestra, and Warwick Symphony Orchestra.

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
