Riggers Loft is situated on the edge of the San Francisco Bay. It is urban chic with high loft ceilings and wooden trusses that invite further decoration. The venue is filled with windows looking out onto the bay with the city skyline directly across the bay. The inside space is 7000 square feet with a footprint that is malleable, and is easily and beautifully delineated by racks of wine barrels. Outside is a 5000 square foot patio overlooking the bay. Many lovely ceremonies have taken place there with sailboats drifting by, and seagulls and sea lions making their entrances as well.

COMAL is a gathering place located in Berkeley’s bustling Arts District, just north of the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. The restaurant is housed in a single-story building (circa 1927) and features a lush, secluded rear patio with a full bar, covered dining area, and al fresco beer garden with fire pit. Executive Chef Matt Gandin creates earthy, modern interpretations of dishes from throughout Mexico, with emphasis on Oaxaca and neighboring coastal regions. Built in 1902 by the renowned architect Bernard Maybeck in traditional Arts and Crafts style, it's designed to create a cozy, intimate feeling. The crowning glory of the club is the three-story Great Hall. With its vaulted ceiling, massive stone fireplace, and stained-glass windows featuring heraldic crests of the great universities of the world, it's reminiscent of many a European cathedral. Hi, my name is Iso, one of the founders of Forage Kitchen. Since 2017, our mission has been to support Oakland entrepreneurs by providing kitchen space, promotional help, and event organization. To support that mission, we rent our space throughout the year for weddings, corporate events, and parties of all kinds. Our space offers a full commercial kitchen, great outdoor space with overhead lighting, and most importantly, a fully stocked bar! With seating capacity for 160 and standing room for 230, it’s great for events of all kinds, and live music is always welcome!

The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.
