Grace Cathedral is a glorious church and, wedding and reception venue located in San Francisco, California atop Nob Hill. Complete with 90 foot ceilings, curving archways, and stunning stained glass, this wedding venue is an architectural masterpiece and widely sought-after San Francisco landmark. When you book space here, you will have seven distinctive wedding venues from which to choose, and all of them are perfect for whatever style of wedding you would like. Whether you are looking to have a small, intimate gathering or a large wedding gala event of up to 400 people, Grace Cathedral can provide you with the accommodations to hold a fantastic event. Grace Cathedral is openly supportive of same sex couples and unions. All are welcome here.

Chapel of Grace

A grand and intimate space for wedding ceremony with 100 or less guests.

The Chapel of Grace is the oldest chapel in the cathedral. With a maximum capacity of 116, this Chapel is perfect for ceremonies with 50 to 100 guests.

Quire

The Quire is a unique wedding space that can be staged in two different ways.

The quire is the area located behind the high altar. It can accommodate 90 guests in the built in quire stalls and up to 150 guests by adding chairs. For an additional rental fee this space may also be used for receptions.

Chapel of Nativity

A perfect space for small and intimate ceremonies.

The Chapel of Nativity is the smallest chapel in the cathedral. With a max capacity of 40, this chapel is perfect for micro wedding ceremonies or vow renewals.

Indoor and Outdoor Labyrinths

For a ceremony with a non-traditional feel

The indoor and outdoor labyrinths are the perfect wedding space for couples who desire a non-traditional feel for their ceremony. Up to 150 chairs can placed in a circular pattern around the labyrinth with the ceremony held in the center. The labyrinths can be booked separately to host a cocktail hour and or reception. Cocktail hour and/or reception fees are not included in the wedding fee and must be book in addition to a wedding ceremony.

Take a walk down Grace Cathedral's iconic 168 ft aisle to the High Altar!

The Nave is largest wedding space located in the center of the cathedral. Seating in the pews can accommodate up to 400 guests.

    Before our wedding, one of the most common pieces of advice I got was "not everything will be perfect, so just make sure to enjoy the day, regardless of what goes wrong." Well, our wedding at Grace Cathedral was absolutely PERFECT. Everything was just as I imagined it. Leading up to our big day, Mahogany was wonderful in helping us coordinate and prepare a wedding that felt authentic and true to our vision. Father Greg guided us as we prepared to commit our lives to each other, and gave us such invaluable counsel. The Grace staff was lovely and professional. Our wedding was something straight out of a FAIRYTALE. Months later, people still tell me how unforgettable and awe-inspiring it all was. The venue is breathtaking and the acoustics are incredible. We feel so blessed to have had the privilege of getting married at the most beautiful church in the United States. Highly recommend getting married at Grace Cathedral!

    My husband and I got married back in Sept 2023 and I had always dreamed of getting married at Grace Cathedral since I was a little girl but almost wrote the dream off entirely as I thought it would be far out of our budget to get married there. I decided to inquire with the church (which was an easy process compared to other churches) and the planning team was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with right from the start. This was crucial for us because we were getting married in under three months and didn't have time to spare. We worked directly with Mahogany and she was amazing. She helped us secure a space within the Church called the Chapel of Nativity that was stunning, within our budget and the perfect size for our small wedding. As soon as we secured our wedding date and completed the contract, we received all of the necessary details pertaining to the planning process promptly and the planning team and our assigned Reverend held our hand every step of the way. On that note, we absolutely loved our Reverend Anna who we completed 3 premarital counseling sessions with, and she also officiated our wedding so beautifully. She really got to know us and helped us prepare for the biggest day of our lives and brought us closer together as a couple. The attention to detail throughout the whole process overall was beyond my expectations and the ceremony was so beautiful, emotional and spiritual. It was nice walking to the church on my wedding day and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We covered everything during the rehearsal, and I really felt that even though we had lower cost ceremony, we received the full service from the Grace Cathedral team and were honestly treated like royalty on our special day. The team made every concession possible to ensure all of our wishes were fulfilled to the best of their ability and no detail was overlooked on the big day. I can't thank the Grace Cathedral team enough for everything. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was the wedding of my dreams!
