We hosted a micro wedding at Hotel Petersburg and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The ceremony was held in the beautifully restored Cockade Room, followed by a rooftop cocktail hour and an afterparty in the moody and unforgettable Boiler Room. Every space was stunning and thoughtfully designed. The staff was phenomenal—Erika and Savannah were a dream to work with, making every detail feel effortless. Chef Mina and Chef Wes truly impressed our guests with food that was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. We also booked a block of rooms for our guests, who found their stays comfortable and memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Petersburg for anyone planning a private event—it’s a hidden gem with an unbeatable blend of history, hospitality, and charm.

Venue considerations

  • No built-in audiovisual options
This is the perfect wedding venue if you want a historic venue and have a small to medium wedding! We had about 50 guests, and felt that it was the perfect amount for the space. The Linden Row team was a dream to work with! Alexa was incredibly responsive to all of our emails. Their partnership with Groovin’ Gourmets truly made our planning so much easier as the staff have great relationships and are used to working together. For all that was included, we felt the price was fair, however keep in mind that in the event of rain, you will also need to work with one of their approved tent vendors since there is not an adequate indoor space for a wedding. This is not their fault, but something we wished we talked through more in the early stages of planning! The room blocks were super easy to set up and we were given a log in to track who had already booked a room. For any guests that are staying in the hotel, it was easy for them to get breakfast on site. All of our guests said they loved their stay at Linden Row. There was another event in downtown Richmond the weekend of our wedding, so parking was a challenge, but again, it is not Linden Row’s fault, just something to keep in mind when booking a room or a wedding.
