The W Loft is a great venue for anyone having a smaller wedding/event who wants beautiful city views. I had a wonderful October wedding here and was very fortunate to avoid rain so my guests could make use of the balcony. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that this is a very weather dependent venue. Had it been rain and we’d be limited to inside space only, it would have been a little too cramped. They had faith that the rain would let up just in time for our outdoor ceremony, and we are so grateful we went for it because it truly did turn out perfectly. We knew we wanted to host our wedding in Jersey City so our guests could enjoy the skyline and the water views. After viewing multiple venues, we landed on Maritime Parc for 7/20/24 and it was the best decision we made. Our wedding planning ran smoothly because we worked with Maritime’s team. Working with Priscila, the sales manager, was like working with family. She was available whenever I needed her which made getting answers to questions quick and easy. She went above and beyond her role. This venue offers a classy food tasting and cake tasting at their restaurant. Even though they host weddings every weekend, they made us feel that ours was very special and important. We appreciated working with Alexis on our timelines and floor-plan. She was very organized and thought of all the little things that we never would have!! Our day of Captains and Bridal Attendant, Marc, Rita and Patricia were the best!! Always there when we needed them and so so kind. My family members raved about their helpfulness. The entire staff at Maritime (servers, bartenders, valet, etc) were professional and attentive. It is rare to have such good and consistent service at a wedding. Lastly… the FOOD. What other wedding venue serves Scallops over braised short ribs?? None! Choose Maritime for a stress free wedding year!

What an amazing venue. Grand but intimate, this venue offers the best of both worlds. It’s old world charm made this the perfect venue for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding. The hospitality team MMEink the runs the venue took care of everything thing for us from start to finish. MMEink took care of all the hospitality and production needs all the way down to the wedding favors which made planning an out of state wedding super easy. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of The Bogart House as our wedding venue. We wanted something that felt truly unique, like we were in Brooklyn—not just another generic venue, and this place delivered! The rooftop sunset view was absolutely stunning, and the venue itself offered so much room for our guests to spread out, with different levels that made hosting feel seamless. The great backdrop provided a perfect canvas to really deck out the space and make it our own. It was also important to us that the venue was handicap accessible, and The Bogart House made sure that our older family members were taken care of, which we deeply appreciated. From the beginning, they were incredibly responsive in all communications and worked seamlessly with all of our vendors. On the day of, the staff was phenomenal, making everything run smoothly. Donna was so helpful throughout the entire planning process, and her daughter Simone was there on the big day to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Friends and family were so impressed with the venue and had the best time celebrating with us. We’re still talking about how incredible everything was today! Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!

Gabe and the entire crew at HH knocked it out of the park. The entire day went flawlessly, they worked seamlessly with our vendors, set up the rooms better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention the space itself/location is GORGEOUS….but funny enough, we booked the space for the insane views of NYC, but happened to get the foggiest day of December - it. Did. Not. Matter. !!! Hudson House KILLED IT and made our day beautiful, stunning, and perfect start to finish. Our guests are raving about the time they had.

It is always such a pleasure to work in Carroll Hall's space as a photographer. There is so much ambiance built into the venue both inside and out, and it is very unique blend of architecture/vibes that I don't come across elsewhere. The wooden/concrete/ceramic interiors plus the garden outside are a dream, and once you add in a crowd of celebrating guests the story starts to tell itself. Highly recommend as a unique and "chill" venue! The staff is also exceptionally awesome and goes above and beyond to ensure our wedding day will be stress free.

Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!
