“Brooke is an absolute gem and I feel so lucky that we were referred to her. I told her early on that I did not expect to personally have any fun on my wedding day, and all because of Brooke, I had without a doubt, the best day of my entire life. What a phenomenal way to kick of our marriage. We went back and forth on getting a planner, but finally decided that having a day-of coordinator would probably alleviate a lot of stress. Brooke went above and beyond what we expected from a day-of, always offering to take on tasks that seemed too overwhelming for us (finding shuttles, hotel blocks). She was responsive and routinely checked in on us formally and informally. Imagine our shock when we learned she was giving us so much attention and professionalism while she was in the middle of planning her OWN wedding just months before our date! If she was stressed by that, she never showed it, and she even offered us some advice based on her own personal experiences. I had never been in a wedding so I was not at all privy to what goes into planning. Brooke was totally on board with shirking some traditions while prioritizing what we valued most (sentimentality, personalization, guest experience). She made suggestions, but never made us feel pressured to do anything. I wanted full control over several aspects of the wedding and she never made me feel like I was not capable or stupid for, say, wanting to do my own flowers. During our meetings, she was organized and efficient and I always felt better after speaking with her. She made an effort to get in contact with all of our vendors and important people so that everyone could be on the same page for the weekend. She had never done a wedding at our venue (the Ithaca Farmers Market) and made an effort to acquaint herself with the space and (very thorough) procedures beforehand. Brooke is not only professional, flexible, and organized, She is also exactly the person you want with you on your wedding day. I have 2 ways of responding to stress – being a goof and being a snappy, rude b**** and Brooke responded to both with total grace and kindness. She gave me the space to crack jokes during the rehearsal, certainly dragging out the process, which made me feel like it was still OUR wedding and not someone else’s idea of a wedding. If something wasn’t going exactly the way I wanted (e.g. my dad forgot something important at the hotel), I would often take out my frustration on Brooke who would receive it, speak kindly to me, and smile (when what I really deserved sometimes was a slap). She has a way of making you feel seen, heard, and safe, which is exactly what you need when everyone’s eyes are on you. And it was not just me, everyone totally adored her and appreciated her presence. What was really important to me, is that to the extent there were any mistakes/miscommunications (inevitable!) Brooke always took accountability and never tried to redirect blame (even if it was not hers to accept). I really respect this in a person and did not find a ton of it in the wedding planning industry otherwise. Overall, Brooke listens, works super hard, treats you like a dear friend, lets you be yourself.”

“Not only are they both lovers of Taylor Swift (so am I so we had lots to chat about!) Bethany and Raquel are phenomenal photographers/people in general and you shouldn’t hesitate to book them. I’ve recommended them to basically everyone I know getting married or has even the most distant of plans to get married. They go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of photographers and genuinely love documenting love. I hope to book them for literally anything in the future. They were the very first vendor we booked in our entire wedding planning process and set the bar waaaay too high for everyone else. They were one of the few vendors we reached out to that did an initial Zoom consultation. I think based on rom-coms I had this crazy idea in my head that wedding planning was done through in-person appointments, but I quickly learned most is done through emails and phone calls making it all feel a little impersonal. Our first meeting with Bethany and Raquel was amazing and it felt like they were actually invested in learning about us as a couple (they definitely were!) and the type of photography experience/style we were looking for. Their kind and thoughtful personalities led us to book them for our engagement shoot and wedding straight away. They definitely can meet you at whatever level of crazy you’re currently running at. For example, for our engagement shoot I had made a whole powerpoint of the types of shots I wanted as well as potential outfits. I did a complete 180 by the wedding and I told them I trusted their artistic vision completely and had no shot list other than the groupings for formal portraits. The photographs came in while we were on our honeymoon and we were blown away by the gallery. Everything was beautifully photographed, edited, and curated. On the wedding day my husband and I were excited for our first look partially because we got to see each other, but also because it was a hang sesh with both of them (lol!). They are wonderful people who put you at ease whenever you chat with them and become your genuine lifelong friends along the way. Many guests complimented their work style in which they weren't intrusive during the ceremony, but were constantly snapping both candid and posed photos. We didn’t want our wedding to feel merely like a spectacle –we wanted it to be a gathering of all our loved ones, so Bethany and Raquel's candid style was a perfect match for us.”

“There are not enough words I can say about Gabe--he has been an absolute dream to work with! Literally anything that could've been thrown at him, he went with it, and executed beautifully!!! My wedding date changed THREE times because of COVID, and he was always willing and flexible to find the perfect date for him and all of my vendors. My wedding was also outside in Miami, FL in early April. Normally, our weather is pretty good and beautiful evenings are almost guaranteed. Instead, we had a storm unlike any other storm I have seen in YEARS (outside of hurricane season). There were TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS in our outdoor/indoor wedding, and Gabe somehow managed to get the most incredible photos EVER. We really emphasized just how much we wanted the pictures to be honest and candid, and the gallery he sent us is literally the essence of that. He truly captured all of the craziness, last-minute changes, fun, and love from our day. Gabe was so friendly, so easy to get to know, and we wouldn't have wanted any one else to be our photographer. “We booked Hanel for both our engagement shoot and wedding. We cannot say anymore great things about him. His email responses were timely, thorough and it was incredibly easy to set up time to meet with him to discuss his and our visions. My husband and I are not camera people in the slightest, and often make silly faces in order to balance our awkwardness. However, Hanel and his assistant made us feel at ease during both shoots, and gave easy directions for us to follow throughout that ultimately made us feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. They were so welcoming/friendly, and we felt like we were just hanging out with our friends for the day. Hanel was able to handle the chaos that were my family and friends on the wedding day, and easily navigated all the different groupings for photos the day of with immense ease. “Julia is truly the BEST photographer out there and she makes everyone look SO GOOD!! We booked her for both our engagement session and our wedding because we loved her so much! She is so skillful at finding beautiful angles and working with natural lighting, and she was great at directing us with suggested poses that didn’t look forced or unnatural. She was also really easy to work with: we met up beforehand to communicate our vision and discuss the kinds of photographs that we wanted for the engagement session and we did that again for our wedding. On our wedding day Julia brought her husband Leo who is also a photographer to assist her and they came early in the morning to begin taking scenery photos, details, and other things while the rest of us got ready. She was there with us throughout the entire day all the way til the end of the evening and she went out with us to take some sunset photos in the middle of the reception, which turned out so beautifully! Finally, Julia was super prompt at sending us the final photographs, which I know she worked hard on because there were A LOT! We can tell that Julia truly enjoys what she does and really wants to get the best photos possible so she always goes above and beyond. “Shukhrat and his wife Rachel just shot our June 8th wedding and we couldn't be happier. They were amazing to work with and the photos are phenomenal! About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people. You spend so much time on your wedding day with your photographers, it's really important to feel comfortable with them, and we certainly did. They brought both a fun, but calming energy, easing our pre-wedding jitters before the ceremony, and leaning into the excitement as the night went on.
