Primrose Cottage, a quaint name that is seemingly deceptive, has enchanted visitors with its presence in charming, historic Roswell since 1839. Roswell King lovingly built the home for his daughter. The wedding venue itself is large in size, but offers a very intimate setting, perfect for your spring or summer wedding. Nestled on the edge of a stately front lawn, the three-story home and ballroom are hidden from outside view. Primrose Cottage possesses secret enchanting gardens, luring its guests to a quest of discovery.

As a facility rental, we provide tables and folding chairs inside, as well as complimentary parking. All outdoor furniture will need to be rented. Catering would be provided through one of our amazing catering companies we partner with and can average $120 to $200 per guest. Beverage service and bartenders are additional and are provided by the History Center. It is about $65 per person for a 4-hour premium full bar. We have a full property minimum on Saturdays of a peak month: April, May, June, September, and October. The facility rental fee for the Swan Gardens, Atlanta History Museum, and Grand Overlook ballroom on a Saturday is $12,500 and we have an additional $5,500 beverage minimum. Fridays and Sundays are $10,000 with a $2,500 beverage minimum. Most of our weddings can expect to spend between $400 to $1,000 per guest after all vendors and costs are added up and divided out per guest.

In May of 2020 Jim and Kathy Heilman purchased the Inn. As the proud new owners of one of Marietta’s greatest treasures, the Heilman family looks forward to preserving the integrity of the Whitlock Inn while hosting your most memorable events.

Couples really love all the outdoor space at our venue. Guests are invited to enjoy the space as well as photographers to take pictures in so many areas of the venue. We also have a B and B in the mansion and have a package that includes an overnight for the Bride and Groom as well as 2 guests with breakfast! This package comes with professional planning and coordinating as well as our in house decor package. We also have throne chairs, loungers and other decor that can be rented for the big day! We offer in house catering as well as a DJ. We have two lovely outside wedding sites as well as a ballroom to hold up to 200…and if you have more guests we can rent tents! Mountain Laurel Farm offers you an opportunity to host a “destination wedding” nestled on 21 acres overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest. We specialize in intimate events of 100 guests or less and the opportunity to host up to 200 guests for cocktail styled events. Guests enjoy exclusive access to our stunning Greek Revival Farmhouse, former Caretaker house & authentic Red Barn.
