About this venue
A historic venue in the heart of Downtown Decatur. Graceful archways, high arched wood beam ceilings and hardwood floors throughout. Built in 1895 and lovingly restored in 2021, the Chapel on Sycamore is a stunning venue.

This space features 4000 square feet of main hall space with a built in altar, 1500 square feet of entryway (able to be partitioned off), breezeway and courtyard (outside) and 2 getting ready suites with private bathrooms.

Off-peak pricing $2,500
Time block of 6 hours // Set up and breakdown time is included. When an event requires hours beyond the time block, additional hours will be added to the final payment due at $400 per hour. Refundable security cost: $1000

Off-peak pricing $3,500

Chapel on Sycamore Wedding
We got married at The Chapel on Sycamore in April and it was everything that we had hoped for! The chapel itself is gorgeous with the dark wood interior and stained glass, and the outdoor space in the spring was perfect for everything from photos to cocktail hour gathering. We had 200 guests and the space was accommodating. Lisa was with us to coordinate our day from the very start and was incredibly prepared, responsive, timely, and helpful in answering my many questions throughout the planning process. She met me at the Chapel to visit multiple times to look at the space as I was planning the event. We used Oakhurst Market, a preferred caterer, for our food and got many compliments (and loved the food ourselves!). We loved the location in Decatur near restaurants and bars for our guests and the ease of travel and proximity to the city and it was easy to book parking for our guests nearby with Lisa's assistance. I would highly recommend The Chapel on Sycamore as an excellent wedding/event venue with lovely and helpful staff. The pictures included are by OliviaRosePhotography.
