Possibly the best decision we made during our wedding process (aside from getting married), was choosing this venue. We were able to rent and use 3 locations throughout the weekend (Pavilion, House 3, and Thunder Island), and each was accommodating and gorgeous in its own way. The ease of having everything from welcome night, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception in the same spot made our logistics 10 times easier. Lots of wedding venues are gorgeous, but what sets the Locks apart is their this place is that they are truly flexible and hospitable. They will actually listen and try to make anything work for you! We had 200 guests so we really pushed the capacity, and the team worked flawlessly to make sure we got what we needed. Jeanetta (the manager) offered so much helpful perspective, was easy to reach and communicate with, and went the extra mile, even helping us put up and take down lights, bringing her personal tools. It felt like showing off the PNW to our east coast and Midwest guests. They were blown away, and so were we. If you want a low-stress, high-flexibility, and completely stunning outdoor wedding, this is the spot. Hidden gem for sure.

We are wedding photographers who recently got the chance to shoot at this beautiful venue. When I got to talking with the staff, I was shocked they’d only been open for a little more than a year. It was beautiful and the day flowed seamlessly, the experience made it feel like they’ve been doing this for 10 years. The highlights for us were the beautiful landscaping, tree deck, patio, and indoor space, and the people. Everything was close together (which can be a huge bonus for wedding logistics), and there was some really great areas for group photos. This wedding was in October, so it got kind of chilly and the giant campfire was a huge hit. If you’re looking for a woodsy venue with some really awesome owners, Rocky Hill is it!

We’re wedding photographers and videographers that recently got the chance to document a wedding at Mt. Hood Meadows. They’re such a unique and fun venue with incredible views of the mountain. One of our favorite aspects was that the entire resort was closed to the public for the day, meaning no random people were able to interrupt the ceremony or reception. They took such good care of our clients, their guests, and us. They escorted us to some beautiful hidden spots for portraits that we wouldn’t have known about if it weren’t for them. From when we arrived prior to the ceremony until we left late that night, their staff was always checking in to make sure our clients had everything they needed to have the best wedding experience. They were so helpful in keeping things moving according to the timeline, always had snacks and drinks ready for the couple, and troubleshooted the few small hiccups in a timely manner and with grace.

The best location ever! Beautiful venue. I think I knew it was the one the first time I visited and we looked at 3 other venues. EVERYTHING went as smooth on the wedding day. The ceremony (which is the most important to me) and everything else went the way I wanted it to so I was very happy about that. I thought it was perfect! We rented The Cave - their smaller outdoor venue - and it fit our vision for the day perfectly. We've got options. Bar Carlo is a unique venue that has multiple spaces for mingling. Guests at the bar can spill out into the outdoor, covered space on our very wide sidewalk on a warm night while groups chat on our plush couches and others snack out of view. We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

There are so many amazing venues in our area, but finding one that has been created with such care and attention to detail and experience can be a bit more challenging. This property offers so much variety for both indoor and outdoor locations, and every single one is picture perfect. The indoor options all have tons of natural light, and great lay-outs. The entire indoor-outdoor flow is also very well planned, between all the buildings, and outdoor spaces. As a photographer, I often wonder why venues are laid out the way they are when it comes to the position of the sun, timing of ceremony, best sunset lighting, etc etc. But even the gorgeous outdoor lawn under the ancient tree is in the most scenic spot for perfect light. A photographer's true dream venue for sure! And I haven't even mentioned how kind and attentive the owners are yet! They will feel like your best friends for the day, and will help however they can to make your vision come to life. It's clear that Redland Family Farm is a project of love, and I can't wait to visit again and photograph more events there!

My new wife Brandi and I LOVED Union Pine! It was a beautiful venue, and it had all the amenities we needed for the big day. Jess the venue manager was a pleasure to work with. We did the weekend package option for the venue and had the venue from Friday till Sunday. This was perfect for us because it allowed us to do the wedding rehearsal dinner at the same venue as the wedding. This helped us out a lot because we were planning this wedding from out of state. We visited a few venues in Portland, and this was by far the most breathtaking! Our out of state guests loved visiting Portland and enjoyed the venue's location to everything downtown.

From the moment we toured this place all the way to our big day, The Melody Event Center was wonderful to work with. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and professional during each planning meeting and always had great ideas to make our vision come to life. Communication with all the staff was excellent. The Classic Restored building made our day feel elegant and timeless. The food was AMAZING and the chef was supper accommodating to our requests. We absolutely loved that they provide everything in house from table and linens all the way to food and decorations. This made planning so much easier since we did not have to source out multiple vendors. Totally recommend this venue for any wedding!

The Evergreen brought to life every detail of our vision and was honestly everything we imagined and then some. From the incredible balcony and staircase, to the hardwood floors and the exposed brick, and the perfect Portland bar “Loyal Legion” for cocktail hour, the space is perfection and offered endless possibilities. The hard thing about endless possibilities is bringing them to life- and YVONNE helped us every step of the way. Outside of answering every email so quickly- Yvonne never offered anything less than thorough answers, amazing support to our vision, and endless incredible ideas and options- she really made planning our wedding FUN. I’ve noticed in the wedding industry when you share your vision it becomes set in stone and your team goes to execute it and that is that. Yvonne was patient through every hypothetical question and possible change- and truly made us feel like the space and the day was our oyster and she was willing to help us make it whatever our hearts desired. Our wedding couldn’t have gone any more perfect and we truly owe this to the evergreen- and Yvonne who guided the day perfectly. I am a planner through and through- and Yvonne couldn’t have been more of a saving grace and sounding light on our wedding day. I have hosted, and decorated a number of events in this space. The PDX Suite Spot is spacious, with beautiful exposed brick walls and large windows to view the “Portland” sign from inside. This space has room for VIP’s, Kitchen, DJ’s and more. There are elevators to take you to the second floor or a stairway that leads up with no issues. The hosts are just as kind. and professional. Communication is always returned within a reasonable time frame. I have also witnessed the host help setup for an event when the coordinators were late. This is definitely the type of over and above service I am looking for when choosing a venue to host my events. I highly recommend The Suite Spot and hope you’ll give them a chance as well.

Portland Center Stage is a place not to be overlooked. The staff went above and beyond and were incredibly helpful through the entire experience. They made recommendations and let me customize to my hearts content! They were clear regarding what we would receive and were the most helpful in making sure I’d be able to do what I wanted for my day! I live hours away from the venue, so communication was important for me and they delivered! The amount of money I spent was very reasonable, I definitely feel like I got the most bang for my buck! I could not give higher praise to any venue more than I would them. I recommend booking here every time. 10/10!

The weekend rate was out of our budget but we were able to cut the cost in half by booking a Thursday. The only downside to the venue was that we weren’t able to have a true rehearsal until the day of, and we weren’t able to access the venue until 3:30pm without paying more. I would do it all over again if I could!

The team at Ironlight have created something so special. People choose to get married in the PNW because of the unparalleled beauty. But....we also have to deal with wind, and the occasional smoke from a wild fire. Because mother nature can be so fickle, its important to have a venue that has flexible options. And that, Ironlight has in spades. Their indoor space is elegant with incredible natural light. It is truly a space every couple can customize and make their own. Their outdoor patios allow couple and guests alike to enjoy our beautiful days and nights, with one deck showing off a view of Mt. Hood, and the other highlighting our amazing PNW sunsets. While the space is beautiful and so thoughtfully designed, I also appreciate the other amenities like a dedicated parking lot and garage, easy loading dock for vendors, fully private restrooms, and complete handicap accessibility.
