We had our wedding anniversary at the Prado and it was the dream celebration I wished I'd had for our wedding! FIrst off, the options we were offered for food choices was over the top. Everyone was so accomodating helping us with things. The day of, I felt like a Queen! I never lifted a finger- the staff always made sure I had a drink in my hand, and each time I got up from my chair, I came back to a seat with fresh a fresh napkin. The wait staff is so professional- they are there but not in your face. Everything we needed or wanted was handled for us. We have an event company, so have many contacts in the industry, and we chose to have our big party at the Prado because we knew we would be taken care of. We were not let down!

We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.

We hosted our daughter’s wedding last weekend. The venue is literally the perfect setting for a wedding and we received exuberant praise all evening for how beautifully magical everything was. I believe that our event was their largest to date (240), which meant that we had to split the ceremony and reception between the lower and upper gardens. Initially, we were concerned about having to make our guests trek from bottom to the top gardens (or take the provided shuttle), but this provided the guests with a charming walk through the gardens to gain an added element of beauty to the night. Marina, the event lead, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Having a different starting location from the ending can be tricky (especially with a lesser know entry way), but the detailed instructions and maps that Marina provided proved to be extremely helpful in guiding everyone.

I cannot stop raving about this venue and the whole event planning team. We had such an amazing experience having out wedding at the Horton Grand Hotel, it makes me want to do it all over again. The venue itself is beautiful and provides a perfect romantic setting for an outdoor wedding. Planning a wedding this year during COVID was nothing short of difficult but Jennifer and the whole event planning staff were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole planning process and really made planning this wedding and keeping our original date so easy. Jennifer constantly kept us updated on the current status of the hotel and was amazing at relaying information related to closures and events to us. She was knowledgeable about the restrictions and helped us plan for a day that was not only perfect in every way but also provided safety to our guests. It was a pleasure having our wedding at such a beautiful location and we were so pleased with how it all turned out and the responsiveness of the staff. There were a number of last minute challenges that made our planning stressful, it was worth every stress and the staff at the Horton Grand Hotel helped us through every set back allowing us to fully enjoy our day. This venue was one of TWO venues that fiancee and I even considered. Not only are they an affordable event space, their staff is just absolutely incredible. They space itself is PERFECT for those who want a lower light, romantic setting with a rustic feel. Wine barrels galore! And the open floor plan really helps with making the space your own for a little bit. It was really easy to map out everything you needed for the day. The BEST part was this venue has indoor/outdoor space. Perfect for those who want to stay warm, while also perfect for those who needed to get some fresh air. This is a major selling point if you plan on getting married in SD since this venue is close to the water. Personable hosts, very professional. They offered glasses of wine to us every time we did a site visit. Extremely communicative and flexible to work with your schedule if need be. Marlene was our wedding coordinator and she really did everything she could to make our day so special. She knows what it's like when they say, "Treat your guests like family"... She made you feel right at home! She will do everything within her power to make you feel at ease. There was not one time I felt concerned. Our bartender, Bryan, was the SWEETEST! He would make your drink and just talk with you like he knew you already. Our guests absolutely loved him. Even if you're not planning a wedding, I would recommend this spot to friends and family for other types of events, for sure. Such a classy establishment with the FRIENDLIEST people.

We love the comfort and space that was provided for us on our special day in October 2018. It was a beautiful set up and spacious for our guests. We appreciate the host and his amazing team with providing us with a beautiful place to do our wedding. It was a wonderful venue that had another plus to it also being a vacation rental for us. We would definitely recommend this venue and vacation spot to anyone, who loves their space, privacy, beauty and comfort. Another plus is that it's affordable. We Love it and wouldn't change it for anything. It was an amazing experience overall and would rent/book from them again....

She was so organized, professional, and empathetic throughout our entire 1 year planning timeline and it always felt like she was "on my team." She was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are so appreciative for all of her help. The venue is beautiful. So happy with WW. They answered all questions I had throughout the process and were easily accessible. The Retreat was such a beautiful venue and they did such a great job. A lot of our guests said “it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to”. Super on top of it! I’m a little neurotic with planning in general and they followed instructions perfectly and even went above and beyond. Only issue - don’t get Tom as your DJ, or else you’ll be disappointed because he doesn’t do remixes or follows instructions diligently. He was good at making announcements, but as far as music goes, I would have been better off playing music off of my phone. They have a DJ that you’re required to use as part of the package because it’s in a residential neighborhood, but they do have other DJ’s aside from Tom. Otherwise everything else that WW did was fantastic.

I wish everyone could experience the joy of getting married at the Lido House! The customer service was truly exceptional. Brian went above and beyond to help make our day special. They offered a complimentary suite upgrade on the night of our wedding, as well as the night before. They honored all our various food preferences. Brian offered to have multiple meetings to discuss all of the details. When I was sick and had to miss the menu tasting, they put the whole selection in to-go containers and included tea and cough drops in the bag. They offered complimentary car service to the beach for our sunset photos. I could go on and on! I cannot recommend the Lido House more highly.

We looked all over OC for a place to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception that was beautiful and aesthetically neutral. Irvine Marriott on Von Karmann exceeded our hopes and dreams. From the process they made simple and easy, to the mostly inclusive venue (you just need a few additional vendors), to our guests having affordable rooms on site to enhance the experience. We customized our day to fit our vision and the team (Niki, Michelle, Chef, Thomas, etc) was amazing at supporting us to have the perfect day! We enjoyed the beautiful venue, the delicious customized food, a large getting ready room fit for the Kardashian’s, the photo opportunities in some special spots (IYKYK), the cocktail reception, the service/coordination (finding a last minute sewing kit to fix a bridesmaid’s dress with reassuring smiles), the honeymoon suite… our wedding weekend was perfection (and our guests all agree)! If you are looking for a venue, RUN to the Irvine Marriott!

My husband and I got married at the Estate 9.28.24 and I cannot begin to express how incredible of an experience it all was from beginning to end. The journey began last November when I started researching venues. The Estate popped up on my instagram and at a quick glance it looked like everything I was looking for. I really wanted a sort of “backyard” wedding but with a lot of personality. I requested to be sent more info and shortly after I got a call from Jovan who gave me a brief over view of what they offer. Now right off the bat it just seemed too good to be true. Ceremony and reception in one spot, ample parking, bride and groom getting ready suites, we could supply alcohol for the bar, DJ provided, catering included, super reasonably priced. We then booked a tour and I told myself to keep my mind open as this was going to be our very first tour of any potential venues. Well it took all about 20 minutes before I knew there was no way I’d be leaving without locking in a date. So then we locked in the date! Any question I had would be immediately responded to, Mimi and Jovan were totally on it. Then the big day finally came and everything was absolutely perfect. Decor is exactly where it needed to be, the flow of the ceremony was flawless, the DJ knew all the right ques, Yanel was SO attentive to my husband and I, always asking if we needed anything at all or bringing us a drink. I truly can say my day went perfectly without any issues. Like I went into it expecting a small hiccup, I mean something is always bound to happen that’s life. But nothing! It was all perfect!! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Mimi, Jovan, Yanel, Rigo were all just the most amazing human beings and I’m sad it’s all over. The venue is just stunning on its own and has TONS of picture opportunities. My photographer said it was his favorite he’s ever worked at because of that. Don’t wait, book a tour now. Additionally, the weekend of our wedding, we stayed at the Lakeview cabins at Lake Cuyamaca. The stay was very pleasant and convenient. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful and responsive! As the months turned into weeks, they were checking in with us to make sure we had all things accounted for. It’s only 3 months out from our wedding and we’re already hosting another event!

The Chapel has a magical blend of classical charm and whimsical beauty that created the perfect atmosphere for our special day. Melissa was amazing throughout the planning process, and she, Cheryl, and the entire team worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the day unforgettable for us and our guests. Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Our Officiant Rev Hannah Wilder, performed a beautiful ceremony by the koi pond. The location is gorgeous, and the staff made us feel as if we were family. Every detail of our wedding was beautifully done, making the entire experience amazing and completely stress free. A million thanks to our wedding coordinator Sherry, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even took photos for us, since we didn't have a photographer. Our wedding was better than anything I dreamed of!
