Oceanside Museum of Arts is a nonprofit regional art museum producing exhibitions and programs that elevate the spirit, stimulate the thought, and ignite the imagination. A short walk from the Ocean and Pier, steps from Oceanside Civi Center and the heart of Downtown. OMA is the perfect venue for your next event. The museum is available for Weddings, Elegant Dinners, Holiday Events, Business Meetings, Reception, Concerts, and more.

The Museum campus is compromised of two architectural jewel; a classic Irving Gill designed building that represents the flavor of Southern California in the 1930s, and the stunning Central Pavilion First Floor Lobby, Biogen Terrace, adjoining galleries, and Second Floor Gallery/ Auditorium offer unique settings for many events. Our faculty allows you to customize your event base on your vision and budget, with no limits or requirements on vendors.

Yes. You have the freedom to choose your own caterer, bring in your own beverages, or have a favorite friend or relative prepare food for your event, or make your wedding cake! That way you can tailor your catering needs to your event budget. (We suggest you hire professional servers, and we require that you or your caterer has an ABC license to serve alcohol.)

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

There is plenty of free parking around the museum, on Pier View and also a Civic Center parking structure for use on the weekends. (City officials typically don’t work weekends, so plenty of parking.)

Your reservation includes six hours from start to finish, including the time it takes to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at $300 per hour.

We require liability insurance. Most caterers will have an Alcohol Beverage Certificate if you are hiring one.

Your event fee includes time to set up (1.5 hour), use of the professional kitchen, free parking, access to all galleries (If renting the Entire Museum), and time to break down. Two OMA staff members will oversee your celebration until every piece of confetti is cleaned up!

Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 40 days of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.

We are located in a business district, and are also neighbors with our local fire department. Out of respect, we ask that all outside music end by 10 PM.
