We have two venues: Island: Lake Cuyamaca has several scenic, natural sites suitable for small outdoor weddings. Our staff would be happy to show you different locations that may work for you, and we will do anything else we can to help you make this a memorable day. One very important thing to remember - Lake Cuyamaca is in the mountains and weather extremes can happen. Although the Julian area does not normally get a lot of snow, it does snow occasionally. Because of this, we do not recommend having your outdoor wedding here between the months of November and April. Ole Firehouse: The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. Amenities include the venue room, a kitchen and restrooms, an outdoor patio area, a large, shaded deck, and an upstairs bridal dressing room. It has a 78 person indoor capacity with the Firehouse bay doors closed and a 120 person capacity when they are open.

The Highlands House is an elegant-meets-homey mansion with a private yard nestled in enchanted forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains. A brick pathway leads from the house to the lawn. There, you’ll find a ceremony area on one side and on the other, space large enough for guests to dine and play yard games. The lawn is surrounded by trees and hedges, creating intimacy for your upscale backyard party. Tables and chairs are provided. The rest - from décor to caterers - is up to you, which makes the Highlands House an extraordinarily customizable venue. The Highlands House can host up to 200 people in the peak season (April – October) and 100 during the winter season (November – March). This includes your guests, vendors, and anyone else helping you on your big day.

Our six giant, custom planters are brimming with vibrant foliage, reflective of our Mediterranean/California-Coastal climate, including Arbutus Marina trees, Chamaerops Humilis (Mediterranean fan palm trees), Dracena Draco, Bromeliads and Passion Flower Vines (red flowers). It is really unusual to have so many large plants together in such an urban setting. Entering 620 Jones is like entering another world, as you pass through the huge, iron entrance gates.

We offer late hours until 2am if your heart desires. Enjoy your ceremony on the lawn with the pond as your backdrop, the redwood trees or the barn. Do you prefer the patio? The bandstand provides a perfect ceremony backdrop. Inside? Sure! Or, at Oak Tree Terrace with its stadium seating between two ancient oaks. Dinner on the lawn or patio with up to 250 during mild weather is awesome! The interior can seat up to 125 at tables for other times of the year. Enjoy dancing on the patio or in the ballroom. Both are great options. The bar - absolutely gorgeous - is inside, next to the ballroom. We have fabulous prep rooms - 1 included in every package but you can add on two more!

The garden offers numerous possibilities, within a uniquely designed, two acre property. Originally part of a larger private estate, the garden retains its ambiance of secluded serenity. An authentic teahouse is a highlight of the garden, romantically situated overlooking a quiet pond. Winding paths lead to various gathering points and vistas, under spreading sycamores and old oaks. In addition to the garden and teahouse, the property includes a home, now used as a convenient staging, meeting and event space. The garden can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Spread over 25 acres of gardens, The Brothers Ranch features palms, tropical flowers, and bamboo that helps transport couples and their guests to another place. Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built.
