Monroe Bay Vineyard is located on the water near Colonial Beach on the original birthplace Farm of our 5th President James Monroe. We have secluded and tranquil waterfront land to plan your perfect day. We have a large, unique barn made of natural, recycled materials of strawbales for insulation and recycled wine bottles for light and design. You no longer see the strawbales in the wall as they have been covered with a hydraulic lime the same material castles in France for hundreds of years have been made from. The inside is a museum quality white lime finish with unique curves with sun shining through the patterned wine bottle walls to give a unique backdrop.

The Poe Museum's Enchanted Garden makes for a small event venue that is absolutely poetic! Edgar Allan Poe considered gardens to be one of the highest art forms. Inspired by his poem "To One in Paradise," the Museum's Enchanted Garden was created in 1922 to pay tribute to this passion. The Gardens at the Poe Museum are the convergence of many aspects of the history and culture of Richmond. The landscape captures the romance and mystery of Poe's work while also paying homage to the southern tradition of gardening. This charming, intimate space is ideal for wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties and other gatherings of up to 75 people. The Estate at River Run offers a dream setting to host a variety of elegant affairs. High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. Nearby, you will discover a tennis court complete with a covered viewing stand. The Market at Grelen is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest venture, The Grelen Depot. With historic preservation, art and beauty in mind, this versatile property was thoughtfully renovated and designed by Grelen Co-Owner, Leslie Gregg. Her objective was to enhance the charm and character of the lovely Main Street by creatively restoring this classic old-world structure situated in the historic town of Orange, Virginia. The Grelen Depot boasts high ceilings, ample natural light, an art gallery, bar and lounge areas as well as a loft space with a range of seating options. Each space has its own distinct personality and all can be used for a variety of events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, workshops, corporate retreats, and more. The Depot also features a luxury suite, called The 118. This space has a living room, bedroom and glamorous full bath.
