We are just fifty miles west of Washington DC in the heart of Virginia’s Wine Country with fifty five wineries and 35 breweries in a twenty five mile radius. We are just over twenty miles from Dulles Airport but it feels like we are worlds away from the hustle, bustle and stress of DC and suburban Northern Virginia. Historic Waverly Mansion is located in Marriottsville, Maryland. This 1760's era estate is a the perfect setting of an intimate garden wedding and reception! The Mansion and property is owned and operated by Howard County Government's Recreation and Parks Department and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Historic Waverly Mansion is considered an outdoor venue. The property includes beautifully maintained gardens, the historic Mansion, and rustic barn. During our peak rental season, a 60x40ft event tent is included in wedding rentals. Historic Waverly provides the location and property amenities while the Permit Holder provides all vendors, including an approved full-service Caterer and Wedding Coordinator. Historic Waverly Mansion is a Howard County Park. Howard County Recreation and Park guidelines apply to all scheduled events and are different from privately owned venues. Below is some additional information about weddings at King Mansion. - The Conservatory Ballroom can accommodate 160 guests with a dance floor. For guest counts over 160 we have additional options including a foyer dance floor or a tented reception on our front lawn. - Catering services are not included in our rental fee. We require you to select a caterer from our list of (5) options with varying price ranges to fit your needs & budget. - You are permitted to purchase & provide your alcohol as long as it's served by a licensed and insured bartender. We are currently offering $1,000 off any full wedding package for the remaining dates in January - August 2025.
