After baking and decorating cakes for over 30 years, in 2014 I was faced with the challenge of making my own wedding cake. I also wanted to include embellishments to enhance the overall grandeur of the cake that were not consumable. The solution, create a beautiful faux cake featuring all of the grandeur I desired far in advance of the actual wedding date. I discovered that my true passion is decorating, not baking. I loved what I was doing, but God gives you a gift for a reason. I wanted to use that gift. I talked to my husband about it and he was very supportive, so I took a leap of faith.
