Hi, I am Kourtney! I am a self-taught Baker who is passionate about pie. With the help from my husband Rodrigo we have created With Love, From Scratch. In 2011 a friend of mine was getting married. She asked me if I knew of a place in Orange County that baked great pies. After searching around a bit, I could not find a unique pie shop to cater her wedding. That is how With Love, From Scratch came about. Giving Orange County the best pie it deserves.

Hi! My name is Sophia Gouirand and I currently live in Orange County. I have been baking ever since I was a little girl satisfying the sweet tooth of my family and friends. I always had a passion for baking, but catering for my friend’s baby shower made me realize I wanted to turn baking into more than just a hobby. Baking gave me the fulfillment I could not find elsewhere.

Simply Spun began as a passion project during the pandemic when my sister and I wanted to bring delicious, homemade desserts to people’s doorsteps. What started as a creative outlet quickly became my full-time calling after I graduated from San Diego State with a degree in nutrition and food science. Now, weddings have become our favorite part of the business! Whether it’s crafting a stunning wedding cake or curating a personalized dessert table, we love bringing each couple’s vision to life.

I started baking in my early teens for fun. Home-style baking at first, then training in my cousin's bakeries in Solvang, California.
