I got my first little film camera for Christmas when I was 8 years old. Looking for things to photograph filled me with so much joy and I would be giddy with excitement when my mom would bring home the developed photos for me to look through.

My name is Allison Hooper and I am the owner and lead designer of Scarlet Blooms. My background is in printmaking, event styling and I have been designing with flowers for over 15 years. Here at Scarlet Blooms we create unique, modern, and garden-style designs. We love incorporating a wide variety of flowers, utilizing multiple color and texture combinations.

The experience of my own aisle moment is at the heart behind why I choose to document wedding days: to create light-filled reminders of the greatest promise I've come to know. I looked up from my mama’s embrace to see my future husband walking away from the altar...he was coming to meet us halfway down the aisle. This made journeying towards the greatest act of faith something we did together. I was sure grateful to have two sets of hands in mine for those final steps! Revisiting photographs by opening our own album brings back every racing heartbeat, happy tear, & warmth from favorite embraces all over again.

What do I love about what I do? Pretty much everything, but the best part is all of you. Killa Bites was born out of adversity and has grown into an amazing adventure! When Laura's husband was diagnosed with ALS in 2011, Laura knew she would need to one day support her family. While Laura has an engineering degree and an MBA, returning to the corporate world was not practical given her husband's needs. After contemplating many ideas, in October of 2013, Laura found a friend, Donna, to go on the adventure with her, and Killa Bites was launched!
