A place for good clean fun!

A Family Friendly DJ LLC is a Licensed DJ for weddings, parties, corporate events, and dances in the greater Portland area. A Family Friendly DJ was named one of Portland's 'Best Of 2016' DJs! for the second time in a row been on their 'Best Of' list.

Like the name says, we are family friendly. How family friendly is up to you. We can keep it squeaky clean or just make sure no F bombs go through my speakers. If you are unsure if we are a good fit, give me a call. A call can really help us get a feel for each other to see if this is a good fit. I won't take a job if I don't feel confident I can make you very happy. And don't worry, I am not a high pressure / book the gig kind of guy. I'm just not that kind of guy.

Golden Oldies package

Description

I have tons of new music but I specialize in the 'classics'. Golden anniversaries. Birthday parties. Classic car shows. Class reunions. Sock hops. Any type of event where you want a lot of the music of yesteryear. $400 for the first hour, $50 per 1/2 hour after that.

Absolutely BUT I don't always play every request. Sometimes a client has specified they don't want a certain song or genre played so I follow their wishes. Also, sometimes a requested song is just the wrong song and will clear the dance floor. Sometimes people think that just because THEY love a certain song, then EVERYBODY will love that same song. It doesn't work that way. If I am DJing a dance, my goal is to get as many people on the dance floor as possible. Some requests just won't do that.

It's pretty simple. I charge $400 for the first hour and $50 per 1/2 hour after that with a $500 minimum. I charge an extra $100 for a second sound system or if I need to bring additional speakers for much larger venues. I DO NOT charge for travel (so long as it is within an hour's drive of my home in Vancouver, WA). I don't charge for set up or take down of my gear. My hourly rate begins when you want the music to start playing.

I can be as family friendly as you want me to be. I can just worry about not having profanity OR I can make it squeaky clean and make sure the songs don't talk about sex, drugs, or take the Lord's name in vain. I have done a lot of church activities and they generally want things VERY CLEAN. However, most of the time I do weddings and corporate events and they are more worried that people are not offended by hearing an F bomb over the speakers. Just know, the more squeaky clean you want it, the less music is available. Also, I do purchase special 'radio edit' versions of new songs that otherwise might have profanity.
