The Lodge is located less than an hour from downtown Los Angeles, minutes from the 101 freeway, and a step back in time from the pace of modern life. We host weddings, parties, and corporate events. The Ballroom seats up to 180 with a dance floor, or you may dine outdoors with up to 275 guests on the expansive Great Lawn with a view of Malibou Lake. The Lodge provides catering exclusively by Chef Cordelia, and comes fully furnished with dining tables, chairs, dishware, and lounge furniture.

The Lodge at Malibou Lake is such a hidden gem. I have had the pleasure of helping many couples celebrate their weddings there over the years. Chef Cordelia and her team really know what hospitality is all about and ALWAYS deliver. The beauty of the location, what is included in the rental contract, and the food is AMAZING. The planning journey with the Lodge is seamless, and they truly care about providing a wonderful experience for their clients and guests. We were looking to have an intimate, garden style wedding and the chapel was perfect. Sheila was wonderful to work with and answered every one of my million questions. She helped us with every detail and was such a rock for us on the day of our wedding. Sandy was a beautiful officiant and our guests loved our ceremony! It was absolutely stunning, we got so many compliments from our guests as well. Hard to believe such a little slice of paradise is just 30 mins from LA, it felt like a different world.

I can't recommend Denise and her team more. Denise catered my wedding in September and our guests couldn't stop talking about the food. The short ribs and salmon were not only delicious but cooked perfectly even when made for 150 people! Denise was also so hands on during the planning process and helped us ensure we had all the rentals we needed and provided feedback and advice which was so helpful when you are a bride who has never done this before. The staff that Denise brought the day of was also spectacular, they were kind, quick and always willing to help a guest. Her business partner Will who ran the bar was also amazing, he helped us ensure we had everything we needed and made sure lines moved during the night. If you need a caterer in the area who can provide amazing food and is just awesome to work with, definitely hire Denise!

We had a great experience with Second Song! Planning was super easy with the Rob team during the 9ish months leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, DJ Shredy was THE ICON of the night. We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. He brought life to the party and we have gotten compliments since our wedding night about how much fun everyone had and how perfect the dance floor was. Seth made our wedding experience an absolute dream! He had affordable packages with plenty of options to choose from (photobooth with high quality images!) and is very accommodating to your needs. We had two meetings with him, and during those times, he ensured that we knew how to utilize the app he uses. Extremely simplified and has a timeline built in for optimal use. It can pull music from Spotify and YouTube, as well as a few other sources. He also made sure to understand exactly what type of wedding we wanted, and built the playlist accordingly. During the entire wedding (ceremony and reception), he had perfect timing when it came to song transitions, and knew exactly when to play what. When making announcements, he could easily grab everyone's attention and brought up the energy even more so! And most importantly, he knows how to get a crowd onto the dance floor and keep them dancing all night long! He is AMAZING!! Shout out to Cody who assisted with the photobooth! Awesome pictures!

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

We’ve been lucky to know and work with Randall for a few years. When we finally decided to make things “official” we knew we wanted someone that does great work, that we trust, and would make us feel comfortable. We wanted our day to feel like a relaxed family event and Randall helped with that and so much more. He suggested possible locations that would meet our dream event and times to maximize the best lighting for the area. Once we settled on the location and date, he maintained excellent communication in preparation to the event to properly flesh out the day’s timetable, day of logistics, and post. On the day of our wedding he expertly directed us and our families, using the natural lighting to capture the perfect shots. We would have been lost without him, especially since no one knew how to assist with bustling my dress. During our dinner reception he seamlessly directed restaurant staff to assist in transitioning between meals/dessert/toast for more amazing shots. After the wedding he kept us updated on next steps for our pictures. Randall is truly a gem and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone special to capture their day.

I cannot say how much we appreciated McKenna. She was easy to get ahold of any time we needed her before the wedding and helped us think through many things we ourselves might not have thought of. We were supposed to have an outdoor wedding but the weather said otherwise. The whole week before she worked with all our vendors, the venue and us to make sure that even with the change of plans our day went perfectly. She made the whole day flow and my husband and I were able to spend the entire time just enjoying our love and the support of our family and friends. She is worth booking 100%

Can't say enough about the quality of James's work, his attention to detail, his professionalism, and curating the best dance party experience at our wedding!! From start to finish he was extremely prepared and provided us with all the materials needed to organize the music and run of show. As both DJ and MC, James truly went the extra mile to make our day run seamlessly, and made us feel so special. He was even accommodating to our last minute music requests and was very patient with us. In addition to being extremely professional, prepared, and organized, he is such a down-to-earth and kind, genuine person. He even captured some videos of our first dance and grand entrance that we wouldn't have had otherwise because we didn't have a videographer. This was so thoughtful and truly above and beyond! DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. Man, where do we start? My fiance and I found Hun Events through Zola and we couldn't be happier we did. From our first Zoom meeting and all the way through our wedding day, Tavi was fun, knowledgeable, honest, communicative, and just plain easy to work with. With budget in mind, we opted for Hun Events’ 2-month coordination plan plus custom design services. We were initially concerned this wouldn’t be enough, but even six months out from our wedding, Tavi was scheduling appointments and meeting with us in person to pick out place settings. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had via text or email. We rarely felt lost - and even when we did, we felt comfortable letting her know, and she’d always happily point us in the right direction. Tavi also helped us immensely with design, taking our vague ideas and turning them into several excellent options for us to choose from. My fiancé and I are both notoriously indecisive, and Tavi was so incredibly patient with us throughout the entire planning process. Once we landed on all the signage we wanted, she handled the logistics of getting everything printed and transported to the venue. All of which is to say: it's hard to overstate how much Tavi took off of our plate, both mentally and physically. By the time our wedding day arrived, we were 100% confident that Tavi would knock it out of the park. She didn’t disappoint - her attention to detail and constant communication never wavered. Getting married is stressful stuff, especially for two people with anxiety, and we honestly couldn’t imagine having done it without Tavi. Her day-of assistant, Katie, was also a total pro. We honestly feel like we got in on the ground floor of an incredible wedding planner who will soon (rightfully) be charging much more for her services. Do not think twice about hiring her!

I don’t think I will ever find the right words for Carmen, but if you are reading this because you are still in limbo whether you want to book her for your next big event, STOP whatever it is you are doing and book her right NOW (before its too late and you regret it foreva). It took awhile for me to realize that these are not just photos you look at once in your life,but photos that you will forever be looking back to- the photos you will show your grand babies and so forth. Carmen’s attention to detail from the start is on a different level. She really takes the time to get to know each of her clients to help create each of story through her work. My husband and I are very awkward and we are the worst at posing in front of a camera- but Carmen was a natural at making us comfortable and just have fun/ being ourselves, and being in the moment. The Oviatt Penthouse is a ridiculously unique venue. The outdoor patios are amazing- perfect for the ceremony, dinner and dancing. We had a band and it was perfect. The views are insane. The bridal suite is the original owner's bedroom- all w/ original furniture. Gorgeous. The staff were AMAZING. Super cool, down to earth, normal people who are great at their jobs. We are so beyond happy we went with this venue.

Watching our video feels like going back to our big day. It's an hour-and-a-half-long movie, so it includes everything that happened on our wedding day. The pre-ceremony part, the whole ceremony, toasts, dances, and so much more. Not only did they capture all the "main" events of our day, they paid extra attention to the whole ambiance of our special day. We could feel the vibe we felt on the dance floor through the screen. Mysi, Mysi, Mysi. Where do we even begin. We were passed along Soda Pop as a preferred photography vendor and fell in love with Mysi's work almost instantly. We were thrilled when Mysi did have availability and we then met to just talk. Mysi is a professional and is very good at what she does. However, our favorite thing is that she's also very approachable. We immediately felt a friendship brewing and it made it very easy for us to open up about what we wanted, what we were afraid of, etc. Both my wife and I historically are not great at pictures and after calming us down a bit, she reassured us that she was going to make sure the photos we'll have were going to be amazing, and that we would look good to. We decided to book Mysi for a few hours before the actual reception to get some shots across the city and then during the reception as well. We also then later asked her to come with us on the day we got married to take more photos with our families and our little dog as well. Both times she was punctual, had everything under control, and used her keen eye to take some memorable shots of us, our families, and countless friends and guests. P.S. she's a dog person and our dog took to her immediately as well, which helped provide some jaw-droppers of the little guy. Like, model-status. But I digress. We were both definitely nervous but when we did get our photos back, we were beyond happy. Mysi and her colleague captured so many amazing memories of all of our families and friends, our grand-parents, little toddlers, just everyone. All of the work she did with us produced some amazing pictures of us as well which we'll have for a lifetime. I met Christina at a Bridal Expo and was amazed with the offered Day Of Coordination package. I was able to easily communicate my priorities on the special day and even share my wedding pet peeves to avoid. Christina was excellent at brainstorming ideas and suggested plenty of ways to approach a situation. When we worked on building the timeline together, she was very thorough and insightful. I sent her so many timeline revisions (as timing means EVERYTHING and it definitely matters), but Christina took them and made it look seamless. On the wedding day, Christina and her team (thank you Heather and Leanna!) made sure we were happy and stress-free. Our morning started with Heather running the errands of the busy morning and was the go-to person for myself and the wedding entourage. Heather was also able to help us create a floral bouquet we used for our ceremony offering. It turned out so beautiful! She did a terrific job. I was always reminded to take a bite of food and to stay hydrated while we were getting ready. Christina helped us execute the ribbon wand exit after our church ceremony. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. Everyone had so much fun doing it. As for the reception, Ingobo was able to help set the table decorations- centerpieces, candles, name cards, order of guests, etc. Leanna was at our side making sure we were well-fed and no one pulled us away from the sweetheart table. She was able to give us reminders of the timeline and was very sweet. Overall, Christina and her team orchestrated our wedding day perfectly. We received many compliments from our guests stating they noticed how smooth the day went. Ingobo's Day of Coordination services made a huge impact on how we were able to enjoy our special day. My husband and I are truly grateful for hiring them as part of our wedding team.

The second-to-last photo was of my trial, which I wanted to change, and Sandy perfectly captured my vision, making me feel like my best self on my wedding day. I felt so beautiful and glamorous, while still being able to recognize myself as someone who doesn’t wear makeup super often (see the last pic for comparison). She did a great job, smoothly adapting when I cried off my first set of lashes; she replaced them and fixed the makeup promptly. I needed a hair stylist, and she brought Jari, who’s good and direct and made both my mother and I so pleased with our hair. Sandy and Jari were major assets to my best day ever!

Such a wonderful, lovely, and creative woman! I informed her right after my wedding date was set (which was only 9 months before my wedding). I requested to match my theme color (sky blue) and hydrangeas with roses, which turned out to be PERFECT! Since I live abroad (not in the US) I wasn’t able to personally talk to her and arrange flowers but she was so patient with me. She waited for my emails and sent me pictures and ideas. I am super indecisive and she helped me a lot with giving me ideas! She did an amaaaazing job! I loved the sweetheart table flowers, bridesmaid bouquet, the boutonnières, and everything!
