Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jennifer Wham and Brandon Werth
Charlottesville has so many things to do and such beautiful views! We've provided a list of our favorites but of course if you want more ideas or tips, just contact us!

Monticello

931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902

Tour the house and grounds of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello home!

The Saunders-Monticello Trail

503 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902

This is a favorite walking/hiking trail of ours - it's a lovely and easy walk. You can park at the base of the trail (although parking fills up quickly on the weekends) - its about 4 miles roundtrip to go up to the entrance of Monticello and back down.

Ragged Mountain Natural Area

1770 Reservoir Road, Charlottesville, VA 22902

This area has a 5-mile or 7-mile hike that is moderately more challenging than the Saunders-Monticello Trail.

Wineries and Breweries

Charlottesville has so many wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries that you can explore while in town. This list can help you find one that fits what you're looking for!

Tasting Room & Taphouse at Mount Ida Reserve

5600 Moonlight Drive, Scottsville, VA 24590

One of the many amazing vineyards in the Charlottesville area - this one has amazing views!

Ragged Branch Distillery

1015 Taylors Gap Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903

For those who want to try a distillery, this one is a favorite in our family!

Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery

1020 Rockfish Valley Highway, Nellysford, VA 22958

While it's a bit farther outside of Charlottesville, we went here during our first Christmas together! It also has beautiful scenery - as does everything in Charlottesville.

For all the days along the way
