Kona International Airport-KOA

Kona International Airport (KOA) is the airport you will use for travel. It is located about 25 minutes from the wedding venue. There are plenty of car rentals should you need one. From Kona International Airport: Distance: 17 mi. Drive time: 25 min. Turn left onto Hwy 19, Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy. Continue heading north for about 17 miles. Waikoloa Beach Drive has a traffic light. Turn left on Waikoloa Beach Drive and you will enter the resort.

Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines have some of the best flights. It will take you to Honolulu first and then a short plane ride (45-1 hour) to Kona International Airport. I would start there when looking for flights.

Turo is a site where you can rent a car from a host rather than a car rental agency. You can also download the app. You would enter KOA airport and the dates you are here to see what cars are available. It’s an easy process and we can help you. Some of the cars are a little cheaper than rentals depending on what you are looking for.

Places to Stay-VRBO Condo Rental Site

The Marriott is fully booked and the Hilton Waikoloa Village has a few rooms left at nearly $1,000 a night due to the holiday. You can use VRBO to find affordable condo rentals within the resort or availability at the hotels for those renting out their timeshare properties. Enter Waikoloa Beach Resort for "Going to". At most, the condo will be less than 10 minutes from the Marriott. Make sure to enter Waikoloa Beach Resort (not Village). The Village is located outside the resort. You can stay outside the resort in Waikoloa Village, just give yourself about 15-20 minutes for drive time to the wedding. When booking, it will show you a map of where the properties are located. The homes located within the Village are cheaper to stay in, but further from the ocean.

As said in previous note, you can use Booking.com to find a condo. Booking.com has a lot of affordable rentals. Enter Waikoloa Beach Resort for "Where are you going? At most, the condo will be less than 10 minutes from the Marriott. Make sure to enter Waikoloa Beach Resort (not Village). The Village is located outside the resort. You can stay outside the resort in Waikoloa Village, just give yourself about 15-20 minutes for drive time to the wedding. When booking, it will show you a map of where the properties are located. The homes located within the Village are cheaper to stay in.

General Information about Waikoloa Beach Resort

For general information about Waikoloa Beach Resort, please visit this site. It will give you an overview of the following: Accommodations Dining Shopping Things to do Golf About The resort is like a little city. There are shops, dining and a grocery store located within the resort. If you need to go to Costco or Walmart, this will be on the other side of the Island in Kona and will take you around 35-40 minutes to get there. Instead of making a left to go to the Resort from the KOA Airport, you would make a right into Kona to get to Costco and Walmart. It’s about 5 miles in the opposite direction of the Kona Airport.
