Aren't you married already?

Answer

Yes, we had our legal wedding ceremony on August 2, 2023 with just our close families in attendance. We wanted to celebrate with all of our friends as well in 2024, on the first anniversary of our legal wedding!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In the UK, weather can always be unpredictable - plan for rain and sun and hope for the best! Temperatures usually range from about 18-25C (64-77F) but can get quite a bit cooler in the evenings.

How do we get to your venue?

Answer

Ubers can get you to the venue and you can also prebook taxis to/from the venue. Otherwise if you're coming by car, there is parking available onsite. It takes approximately 25 minutes from central Cambridge to Manor Barn.

Is there parking at your venue?

Answer

Yes! There is free car parking available onsite and cars can be left overnight but must be collected by 12pm the next day.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list and our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Can I take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We ask that you put away your phones for our unplugged ceremony (don't worry, we have a great photographer capturing the moments). After that, please snap away for the rest of the night and don't forget to share your photos with us. Feel free to post on social media, but don't forget to use #thefinlais (we're not officially changing our last names, but love how easily they fit together)!

What food and drink will you have?

Answer

We'll have canapes during cocktail hour, followed by a fully catered dinner. Drinks will be provided during cocktail hour and a cash bar will be available after dinner.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

The greatest gift to us is your presence at our wedding celebration. Please do not feel obligated to give anything else. However, if you wish to give a gift, a contribution of cash (whatever currency) towards our future together would be greatly appreciated. For our American friends, feel free to contribute by Venmo (@DianaLai) or Zelle (dianalai518@gmail.com) if you would prefer! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
