There are many beautiful hotels and airbnb's in San Miguel, all in different price ranges - so you have great options on where to stay. Our highest recommendation is to stay somewhere close to the town center. Transportation to/from the Airport

We don't recommend renting a car. Most places in San Miguel are within walking distance or an inexpensive taxi ride away. In addition, parking is very difficult to come by. However, you will need transportation to and from the airport. Options include taxis, group shuttles, private shuttles and Ubers. We recommend arranging your transportation through BajioGo (https://bajiogoshuttle.com). We have used them several times, both private and shared shuttles. They were prompt picking us up at the airport (holding a sign with our name) and at our hotel. Flight

(BJX) Del Bajio Airport, Leon/Guanajuato

The Leon airport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico by car. It is by far the most used airport for people traveling to San Miguel. However, people flying from the northern US often find cheaper fares flying into Mexico City. There are taxis, group shuttles, private shuttles and Ubers available. Querétaro Intercontinental Airport in Querétaro

The Queretaro airport is 1 hr and 30 min from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico by car. There are taxis, group shuttles, private shuttles and Ubers available. Shuttle services and private drivers should be booked in advance We recommend BajioGo http://www.bajiogoshuttle.com (see above).

Flight

(MEX) Juarez Intl, Mexico City, MX

The Mexico City airport is about 3 hours and 30 minutes from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico by car depending on traffic. Shuttle services and private drivers should be booked in advance. We recommend BajioGo http://www.bajiogoshuttle.com (see above).
