There will be hors d'oeuvres in addition to cocktails (4:30pm - 6:30pm) before our Callejoneada which will begin at 6:30pm. What is a Callejoneada? The most authentic San Miguel experience! In San Miguel the prelude to almost every wedding ceremony is a callejoneada, a parade in which the wedding party and guests wanders through cobblestoned streets (ladies, you might want to rethink those stilettos), tequila in hand, dancing to music, and voices singing. Giant mojigangas—papier-mâché puppets towering 10 feet in the air and dancing wildly—will visually announce the callejoneada.
