Southold Fish Market

Southold Fish Market is owned by the bride's cousin Charlie. Many of the staff members are family. The bride is proud of being from a lineage of Long Island fishermen and invites guests unfamiliar with the area to stop here for delicious seafood takeout (think fish tacos, lobster rolls, soups, and fish sandwiches). Noah's

A restaurant providing farm-to-table food in the heart of Greenport's downtown for the last decade. The bride highly recommends the Lump Blue Claw Crab Cake which she ate once and talks about a least once a month since (according to Stevie). Legends

Opened in 1993 in New Suffolk (a quaint and historic waterfront town, even amongst all the other quaint towns), Legends is a local mainstay and a tourist attraction. It boasts 2 dining rooms - one side with an upscale seated dinner vibe and the other with a cozy pub atmosphere. Red Rooster Bistro

The Red Rooster is a French-American bistro. It serves food from simple fares like burgers and salads to classic Beef Bourguignon and Steak au Poivre. French cuisine just happens to be the bride's favorite so this was a must-share! Hours: Monday: CLOSED Tuesday - Sunday: Noon - 8:30 pm

Sophie's Rest

Sophie's Rest is a watering hole for locals serving eclectic bar bites with a focus on seafood co-owned by the bride's cousin, Charlie, owner of Southold Fish Market (also a must-see). Magic Fountain

Magic Fountain is an ice cream shop that is packed by tourists and locals alike. Originally opened as a Diary Queen in the mid-sixties, by 1977 the store changed ownership and quickly became one of the most popular Ice Cream Shoppes on the North Fork. While they make the classics well, like the bride's favorite Mint Chip, it is worth exploring their more adventurous flavors such as Olive Oil, Goat Cheese, and Almond Joy. Steve, Tabby, and her sisters try to make the trip here at least once every visit. 7-Eleven

Did you even go to the East End of Long Island if you didn't go into the local 7-Eleven for coffee? I think not! Nostalgia dictates the bride must get Java and a buttered roll each trip out to the island and when you are on the North Fork, it's hard to not stumble past at least 3 of these convenience stores. Keep Seves in mind if you find yourself in need of food or drink late-night as they are the only 24-hour spot. North Fork Roasting Co.

A family-owned and operated Cafes and Bakeries that offers sweets such as cakes, bread, and pastries to savory items such as sandwiches, soups, salads, and quiches. Crazy Beans

The Greenport location is their East End addition to the Crazy Beans family. Growing up, this space was an old-fashioned diner where the bride would go to share a milkshake and fries with friends. In 2016, the historic Greenport Coronet Luncheonette, which was a landmark spot of the North Fork since the 1950s, was revived into the Crazy Beans it is today. Wayside Market

This is a local hotspot...stop here for a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese or any other deli favorite. Family-owned and operated for over 50 years, they boast the reputation of being the oldest deli on the North Fork and the longest-lasting butcher. When looking toward the future, one should also appreciate the past. The maritime heritage of the East End of Long Island, New York, is an integral part of The Village of Greenport. Railroad Museum of Long Island

The Railroad Museum of Long Island, known also as RMLI, (pronounced RimLee) was created in 1990. Their mission continues to this day: “Dedicated to the restoration, preservation and interpretation of the history and artifacts pertaining to the railroads which participated in the growth of Long Island, its communities and industries for the entertainment, edification, and good of present and future generations.” Riverhead: Is open for the 2024 Season beginning April 6, 2024 10 am – 4:00 pm

Greenport Village Blacksmith

"The Village Blacksmith Shop is a replica of a building that dated from the 1870s. A nor'easter destroyed the original building in 1992, and a replacement in the form of an East Marion onion shack was moved to Greenport in 1999... Visit the shop on weekends to see a blacksmith at work and learn about blacksmithing and this historic shop." Hours: Weekends 11:00 am - 5 pm Groups may tour the Blacksmith Shop by appointment. GLORY - Greenport Harbor Boat Tours

This year marks 25 years in operation for GLORY. "GLORY is the perfect cruising vessel for Peconic Bay. It is unique in that it is the only cruise boat in New York that produces zero emissions, is virtually quiet, and leaves nothing that is harmful to the environment. It is New York’s only “Green” Electric-powered harbor tour boat certificated by the United States Coast Guard." Macari Vineyards

Family-owned and operated for two generations, Macari vineyards is one of the biggest vineyards spanning an incredible 500 acres. They have a selection of Malbecs (the bride's favorite varietal) and Merlots, Cabernet Sauvignons and Cabernet Francs to choose from. Bedell Cellars

Bedell Cellars was one of the early wineries to plant grapevines on the North Fork. Kip & Susan Bedell planted grapevines here in 1980. Now, it’s owned by film producer Michael Lynn and is home to a contemporary art collection. Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery

A personal favorite of the bride's, Sparkling Pointe has some very delicious bubbles and a beautiful patio where you can take in the view of the vineyard. "Nestled in the breezy and beautiful North Fork of Long Island, Cynthia and Tom Rosicki have dedicated Sparkling Pointe Vineyards and Winery to estate grown sparkling wines produced exclusively in the traditional Méthode Champenoise. This vineyard boasts llamas, yes, that's right, LLAMAS. "The tasting room is also a mini-farm, where sheep and llamas live. It’s a family-friendly destination for wine and picnicking." Greenport Harbor Brewing Company

While neither the bride nor groom are beer aficionados, this brewery had to make the list for any guest that is! Their original brewery and tasting room is located in the heart of Greenport Village in an 1860s firehouse next door to the town’s historic jail. Harbes Family Farm - Mattituck

"The Harbes Family has been farming for over 13 generations. Their farms have evolved into North Fork destinations where families can enjoy anything from fresh-picked corn to award-winning wines. July 2019 marked the 30th anniversary of the founding of Harbes Family Farm." With a Farmstand, Barnyard Adventure, and Wine Tasting Barn this farm has been an attraction for tourists and locals. Briermere Farms

Briermere Farms is a fruit farm and bakery known especially as a place to stop and buy PIE!!! *It just so happens that the bride and groom love pie WAY more than cake, so this had to make the recommendations list!* Their pies, bread, muffins, cookies, cakes, jam, and jelly are made on the farm from scratch utilizing (mostly) the fresh fruit grown here on their farm. Schmitt's Farm Stand

The bride and groom absolutely love a good charcuterie board and every good charcuterie board needs good pickles - this is where Schmitts Farm comes in. Stop by and buy pickles and the best horseradish from a 4th generation family farm (farming for over 150 years). The 165-acre farm provides fresh produce, including lettuce, spinach, cabbage, super sweet corn, beets and herbs among many other products, to local and tri-state area markets. Hours: Wednesday - Sunday: 10 am - 4 pm

Catapano Dairy Farm

A unique farm, you can stop by to see the goats and buy goat products from cheese to skincare. You can sign up for baby goat cuddling or a farm tour where you can see how they operate their farm and craft their goat cheese. Plan ahead tours! Farm tours are by appointment only. Lavender By the Bay

Lavender By the Bay is a family-owned and operated lavender farm located in East Marion, NY & Calverton, NY. Goldsmith's Inlet Park

One of the bride's favorite beaches to spend summer days swimming, in the Spring it is great for walking along the jetty, hiking in the nearby woods, and bird spotting.

Town Beach aka Jack's Shack

Known by locals as Jack's Shack for a concession stand that no longer exists at Southold Town Beach, it offers beautiful views of Long Island Sound.

67 Steps Beach

A gorgeous local beach named 67 Steps for the stairway down (it has been redone and is no longer 67 steps, so no need to count lol). It boasts a gorgeous view of Long Island Sound and the large boulders left by the glaciers of the ice age (erratics) that helped form the island.

Sixth Street Beach

The bride grew up a handful of blocks from this beach. It has a lovely playground and picnic area as well as a town dock and views of Greenport Harbor.

Orient Beach State Park

"Orient Beach State Park, located on the eastern tip of the north fork of Long Island, is a natural wonderland of waterfront with 45,000 feet of frontage on Gardiner's Bay and a rare maritime forest with red cedar, black-jack oak trees and prickly-pear cactus. Its natural beauty earned designation as a National Natural Landmark in 1980. Other natural attractions in the park include the salt water marsh and marine wildlife. Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Black Crowned Night Herons, and Osprey are common sights in the park, leading to its recognition as an Audubon Important Bird Area." Winter hours are 8:00 am-4:00 pm
