Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us. (This is a work in progress so check back for more pictures and details on some of our favorite people.)

Sarah Spiller

Bride

Sarah was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, but much of her family is native to New Mexico. This is ultimately what brought her to the Land of Enchantment in 2016. Sarah is a full-time student at UNM, studying Special Education and Elementary Education =, hoping to be admitted to the dual licensure program this fall. Sarah loves working with kids and misses the classroom, so she may return to substitute teaching between semesters. Outside of school, she loves dance, archery, sewing, working around the house and a good book. Sarah also is a HUGE Halloween nut, so joining the SCA just gave her more of a regular opportunity to dress up, with a dash of medieval history for flavor. Sarah has 2 kids, Wesley and Mikayla who are her life. So much so, that they were all too happy to share some of the attention when Michael came along. They think he's pretty cool too!

Michael Allender

Groom

Michael was born in Phoenix, AZ but was raised in a small town called Ramah, NM. He's pretty much a native New Mexican and has been in the Ramah/Grants area most of his life. Michael is a BSN currently working at a local prison, but is hoping for a change of scenery. He loves what he does but is looking for an opportunity to learn more and grow. In his spare time, he loves archery, working with his hands (metal casting, carving, leatherwork, flint napping, etc), hiking and camping (any excuse to pick up more rocks), and getting lost in a good book. Medieval history was his thing long before he joined the SCA and he has also been involved with other Steel Fighting groups (he makes his own armor too!). He's a total nerd and it looks pretty good on him! Michael also has 2 kids, Kyla and Zander, who keep him on his toes.

Nici Reynolds

Maid of Honor

Nici and Sarah have been besties FOREVER; well at least it seems like it. They met when Sarah was Nici's oldest, Orion's cub scout leader way back in 2013! Their kids hit it off immediately and they have been friends ever since. So many trips with the kids, late nights dancing or just talking on the phone, even when Sarah moved away, they have always been there. Heck, if it doesn't work out with Michael, maybe they will get married one day!

Wesley is Sarah's oldest, and arguably biggest pain in the butt! No seriously, she loves him, he's her baby boy! Wesley will be a senior in High School this fall and has done so well with all of the changes, especially a new school. Wesley enjoys anime, manga, computer games and game nights with family. He and Zander will be guarding our rings with their lives! Watch out!

Mikayla is Sarah's youngest kid who is otherwise known as "the gremlin". IYKYK. Mikayla is a creative wierdo (err, genius, of course!) who is always making something (slime, painting, jewelry). They are passionate about social issues, gender freedom and equality, and helping others. While they still keep in touch with friends in Albuquerque, Mikayla got a pretty awesome roommate at the new place with their new soon-to-be step sister, Kyla. They have grown quite fond of each other and the teenage gossip flows freely between those two.
