We have been here with and without the kids and had a blast every time. Definitely worth the trip!
Home of the Santa Fe Renaissance Faire and many other fun events, this living history museum is quite literally a blast from the past.
So much history and culture to take in, and of course shopping and FOOD! Spend some time just walking around and maybe grab a bite too. Sarah recommends The Shed (for yummy New Mexican fare) and the Miraculous Staircase at the Loretto Chapel. (https://www.lorettochapel.com/staircase)
Neat place with lots of things to see and do. Saturday there will be a farmers market and artists market.
If you have never been to this event, you simply MUST! You can get up close and personal as all of the balloons inflate and ascend into the skies over Albuquerque. Ballonists from all over the world participate in this event to take adventage of our unique flying conditions, "the Albuquerque Box". This allows the pilots to take off fly for a bit and land in the same location! Definitely use a park and ride location to get to and from Balloon Fiesta Park, dress in warm layers, bring a back pack and be sure to grab a yummy breakfast burrito when you get there!
