Shawn will be accompanied down the aisle by his best friend, role model, teacher, baseball coach, study partner, and real-life hero. Most of you will know her simply as his mother. Carissa is a coin collector, song and poetry writer, plays guitar, and loves stopping at Dunkins' for a good coffee!

Katherine met Shawn on the side of the highway when Joe's car broke down. Later that day, she informed Joe that she would be attending their wedding. Mothers truly know everything!!! Katherine is an amazing cook and loves sunflowers. She enjoys sunflowers and loves walking along the ocean either alone or with her friends, but Katherine is going to cherish walking her son down the aisle most of all.

Joe's father John served in the Massachusetts National Guard, enjoys karaoke, and camping. We absolutely love his Thanksgiving turkey! John will escort Joe's grandmother down the aisle.

Joe's grandmother Joan, affectionately known as Grammy, loves sharing her stories of growing up in the days of rock n roll. Grammy enjoys calling her family and singing "Happy Birthday" on their birthday - it truly is a most precious moment. She'll be escorted up the aisle by her son John.

Shawn's stepmother Mary Beth will be adding beauty to our aisle - both with flowers and herself. She's very kind, funny, understanding, and always has an ear available when you need to talk.

Joe's stepmother Stacey will be adding beauty to our aisle along with Shawn's stepmother Mary while serving as our flower maid. Stacey loves singing karaoke, enjoys a relaxing cruise, and is a huge Taylor Swift fan.

Ever since the moment they met, Shawn and Cynthia have been the tightest of tight. They have had one another's back through both the good and the bad. They've been co-workers, running partners, vent buddies, shopping spree sidekicks, and pretty much anything else you can think of! These two are a blast to be around, especially if you can get them laughing around each other!

Joe's older brother John (known as J.D. by the family) is the proud father of four children. As a member of the Massachusetts National Guard, he was amongst the last American soldiers to leave Afghanistan. John loves riding his motorcycle and grilling.

Bethany is an amazing friend, always pushing Shawn to embrace his inner extraness. Bethany was guest of honor at the couple's first dinner party. She has also joined them for various events, including shows at the Palace Theatre. She planned her own wedding and has been a bouncing board for the couple as they have planned theirs, as well as the designer of the reception floral arrangements.

When Shawn and Joe attended the rehearsal for Bethany and Frank's wedding, they instantly bonded with Bethany's maid of honor, Lisa. Lisa is the complete package - beautiful, smart and funny. As one of the couples' ushers, she's going to be on hand to help guests upon arriving find their seats and answer any questions they might have.

Jen has been a friend of Shawn's for many years. She has been with the couple for happy times (visiting Lowell's textile mills) and sad times (filming the funeral of Eliyanah the hedgehog). When the trio visited Tenney Castle, Joe informed Jen that he would be marrying Shawn one day. She's the owner of Witchy Woods Candle Co. (coming to Etsy on Sept 1, 2024). Jen will carry the glasses Shawn and Joe will stomp on at the end of the ceremony down the aisle.

Shawn's younger sister Dawn-Marie lives in Florida and has a pet cat named Sox. She helps out at her church whenever she can. She's a very kind and sweet woman who loves to shop and hang with her friends during her free time. Dawn-Marie typically has a smile on her face. Although she's shy at first, she truly loves to talk and you'll experience that once she gets to know you! Dawn-Marie is looking forward to meeting everyone at the wedding! The honor of carrying our rings down the aisle has been given to Dawn-Marie.

It is said that you often spend more time with your co-workers than you do with your own family, and Donna is a perfect example of this. Donna started as a co-worker, but has become so much more to both Shawn and Joe. Donna has a heart of gold and it seemed an obvious choice to ask her to witness the couple's ketubah signing before making her way down the aisle.

Having planned, designed and officiated over 350 weddings (including wedding party member Catherine's in May 2020), Shelly is experienced with every kind of wedding. A resident of Shawn's hometown, Shelly has been awarded Wedding Wire's Couples' Choice Award each year since 2019 and The Knot's Best of Weddings Award since 2021.

She loves antiquing and shopping at flea markets, designing jewlry, singing, dancing, and traveling. Kelly works at Main Event Entertainment in Londonderry, New Hampshire - where Joe grew up!

Horse Carriage Driver
Kim is the owner of Whispering Brook Farm. She has worked with the couple to personalize the carriage ride - her horse will be carrying a leather strap and horse brass that came from Reading, England (the town Shawn's paternal ancestors left in 1635), a rein that was used in Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee procession, and Queen Victoria horse brass.
