Built by a Native American culture ... or a migrant European population? No one knows for sure. A maze of man-made chambers, walls and ceremonial meeting places, at over 4,000 years old America's Stonehenge is most likely the oldest man-made construction in the United States.

The Windham Rail Trail passes through the woodsy periphery of Windham in Southern New Hampshire. The trail follows a railbed taken out of service by the Boston & Maine Railaroad in 1980. At the northern trailhead near the Derry town line, explore the Boston & Maine Railroad C-16 caboose and restored 1849 Windham Depot and freight terminal. The station serviced the busy junction between the Manchester and Lawrence Division and the Worcester, Nashua & Portland Division of the Boston & Maine Railroad. Please note, the Windham Depot is a day-use parking facility only. Parking is prohibited from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise per State RSA and Windham Ordinance - and this is STRICTLY enforced.
The Robert Frost Farm Historic Site was home to Robert Frost and his family from 1900 - 1911. Frost, one of America's most acclaimed poets, attributed many of his poems to memories from the Derry years. The simple two-story white clapboard farmhouse is typical of New England in the 1880s. Tours, displays, a nature/poetry trail, programs, and poetry readings are offered to the public at no charge, and run from May through October.
We love exploring this old canal located on a 1.1 mile out-and-back trail. An easy trail to walk, it takes an average of 24 minutes to complete ... unless you're like Shawn and Joe, in which this could be an hours-long adventure!!! The trail runs along the canal route, and you can see the remains of the lock keeper's house. If you have ever had the pleasure of hearing Shawn tell the childhood story of how he lost his green whistle, it takes place just feet from the parking lot of the Conservation Area!
If you're looking for a great jewelry store, we recommend Day's Jewelers! The Nashua location is where we went for our wedding bands, but they also have a location in Manchester, NH and several locations in Maine.
