Sept. 5, 2020 - We visited Bancroft Castle in Groton, MA, then Manchester's millyard canals. Behind us is the canal wall & Merrimack River. We're standing INSIDE the canal!

Sept. 6, 2020 - Picnic time under a train trestle by Goff's Falls canal on the Merrimack River at Moore's Crossing in Bedford, NH.

Sept. 12, 2020 - Two Princes on The King's Highway in Merrimack, NH. This is one of the remaining sections of the original colonial highway that connected the American colonies.

Sept. 13, 2020 - Exploring the remains of Gage's sawmill in Bedford, NH at the Pulpit Rock Conservation Area.

Sept. 24, 2020 - Eliyanah checks out Joe!

Sept. 26, 2020 - We went to the Lowell textile mills with Jen on a holiday, so were able to enjoy the history for free!

Oct. 12, 2020 - We completed the corn maze!!

Oct. 18, 2020 - We went for a walk and found an old canal we hadn't known about. Cromwell's Falls Canal opened in 1815.

Oct. 24, 2020 - Enjoying a beautiful fall sunset at McIntyre Ski Area.

Oct. 31, 2020 - Halloween post-work dinner run!

Nov. 8, 2020 - Joe's first time riding horse was very memorable.

Nov. 26, 2020 - Joe and Leo having a heart-to-heart about kitty claws on the furniture.

Nov. 29, 2020 - Our adventure took us to an abandoned mill at Sewalls Falls in Concord, NH.

Dec. 31, 2020 - Giving Eliyanah medication to help with her pain from Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome.

Jan. 3, 2021 - Joe took a break during our visit to Tenney Castle in Methuen, MA.

Jan. 10, 2021 - We were impressed with our closet size as we started moving into our new apartment!

May 29, 2021 - These 2 great-looking guys attended the vow-renewal ceremony of Shawn's friends Catherine and Chris.

July 17, 2021 - We took a quick trip to Schoolmaster Hill in Boston, MA to admire the stonework.

Aug. 28, 2021 - Having obtained the family tree at 11 am, we traveled to Hingham, MA to the memorial stone of Shawn's paternal ancestor who sailed there in 1635 (and makes up the trunk on the tree).

Sept. 12, 2021 - We went horseback riding in Londonderry, NH not far from where Joe grew up.

Sept. 26, 2021 - We took the Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington. It was crazy!!

Sept. 30, 2021 - Joe came home to find Shawn busy at work on his Dickens Village.

Oct. 1, 2021 - We visited Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill, MA.

Oct. 6, 2021 - We watched this beaver at work for about 20 minutes! We couldn't believe how close we were able to get to him.

Oct. 20, 2021 - A very special dinner with Shawn's grandmother Retha, mother Carissa, and stepmother Mary.

Nov. 17, 2021 - "Thanksgiving: The Prequel" was not only a great meal but the first meeting of our mothers. The night was absolutely amazing - as was Joe's cooking and Shawn's table set-up!!

Nov. 20, 2021 - A trip to Newbury, Vermont to look at land for sale for our future home. This was not the one!

Nov. 25, 2021 - Joe got a picture of his friend Haley and Shawn showing off geocache treasure in Monson, NH.

Nov. 28, 2021 - "A Christmas Carol" at the Palace Theatre with Angelina, Bethany & Frank. We loved the show from our box seats! During intermission, people took our photos like we were in the play.

March 5, 2022 - We enjoyed dance lesson time as we prepared for Bethany and Frank's wedding at Royal Palace Dance Studio.

March 25, 2022 - Checking on Duke Quilliam while he battled an ear infection.

April 1, 2022 - We celebrated Joe's brother J.D.'s return from Afghanistan after a year-long deployment.

May 28, 2022 - Thanks to a suggestion from an employee at the Hingham Historical Society, we visited Fort Revere in Hull, MA over the Memorial Day weekend.

May 30, 2022 - We found our way to Hunt Castle in Rindge, NH!

June 19, 2022 - Shawn pet a duck against its wishes at Tarbin Gardens in Franklin, NH right before we took this photo. Although we love English gardens, we don't think it was worth the price.

June 23, 2022 - While out on a walk, we discovered this culvert that was built under a railroad from the 1840s!

June 25, 2022 - Photographer Ryan Murphy captured some fantastic shots of us at Bethany & Frank's wedding, including us having a laugh, taking a selfie & posing with Bethany's floral arrangements!

July 10, 2022 - Joe and his mother Kathy make home-made whipped cream for the strawberry shortcake dessert we're having after Chinese food dinner with Shawn and his mother Carissa.

July 17, 2022 - Joe booked us on the Cupola Tour at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA to kick off Shawn's birthday. We loved the tour and the view of the Grand Allée from the roof top.

July 23, 2022 - Thanks to another drought, Shawn is standing inside the Moore's Falls canal in Litchfield, NH. (Our wedding aisle will have a model of this canal inside a lantern.)

Aug. 12, 2022 - Shawn was invited for lunch on the Piscataqua River in Portsmouth, NH with Joe's mother Kathy and cousin Allison.

Sept. 17, 2022 - Our monthly Chinese meal was a fun time with the moms, especially when Shawn noted that everyone had served him tea!

Oct. 16, 2022 - We woke early enough to head to Rye, NH to watch the sun rise over the ocean! Find yourself someone who looks at you the way Joe looks at Shawn.

Oct. 23, 2022 - We enjoyed an autumn walk at Mines Falls Park in Nashua, NH.

Oct. 29, 2022 - We enjoyed a train ride on Leo's Party Caboose during the last weekend of the season.

Nov. 13, 2022 - We went to Boston's Emerson Colonial Theater to see "Six: The Musical" and had an amazing time!

Nov. 26, 2022 - Due to Joe being sick on Thanksgiving, we had our dinner a few days after. The candle-lit dinner was delicious and well worth the wait!

Dec. 4, 2022 - We traveled to Hancock, NH to explore abandoned Elmwood Junction, which was the junction between the Manchester & Keene Railroad and the Peterborough & Hillsborough Railroad.

Dec. 11, 2022 - With our friend Robyn playing Santa at PetSmart, we brought our hedgehogs in for photos! Joe is holding MJ and Shawn is holding Louis Phillippe.

Feb. 6, 2023 - Having had discussed a desire to visit NH's Ice Castles for over two years, we were thankful the day before had been sold out and our visit wasn't ruined by the artic blast.

Feb. 12, 2023 - We traveled to Newfields, NH and through mud, snow, ice, and woods to find a burial plot belonging to members of Shawn's family.

Feb. 25, 2023 - During our visit to Searles Castle, we signed our wedding contract!!!

April 15, 2023 - After ordering our wedding bands, we stopped by the site of the Worcester Brothers Mill in Hollis, New Hampshire.

May 21, 2023 - We visited Carcassonne Castle in Marblehead, MA.

June 11, 2023 - June 10th is the half-way point between our birthdays, so we went to the Palace Theatre to watch "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" a day later to celebrate.

July 9, 2023 - Our first bike ride was a 12.2-mile ride on the Rockingham Rail Trail that runs along Lake Massabesic! What a great start to our day!

July 30, 2023 - After exploring Lucknow Mansion (aka, Castle in the Clouds), we posed in front of the carriage house with the trolley that brought us to the mountaintop estate several hours before.

August 13, 2023 - We visited the Brooks Estate in Medford, MA and happened to run into housekeeper Cheryl, who shared with us the history of this great house from 1880!

Oct. 1, 2023 - We explored Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA where there had been a gothic castle 1868-1900, and then a grand estate.

Oct. 28, 2023 - After picking up our chuppah, we went to The Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island and explored the amazing mansion.

Dec. 16, 2023 - We had front row seats at the 250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party! Shawn's powdered wig was a hit, and we made friends with several Daughters of the American Revolution.

Feb. 3, 2024 - After our Chinese food dinner, we gathered at our house with Carissa, Kathy, and Mary for a whole lot of desserts!!! We later viewed our ketubah!
