Which room at Sun Mountain Lodge should I book?
Answer
There are various room options at Sun Mountain Lodge. There are 3 separate buildings, all walking distance from each other with pools and hot tubs in-between. The Main Lodge: These rooms are attached to the lodge where the restaurant, lobby, pub, and game rooms are located. The ceremony will be held on the back deck of this lodge. If you want to bunk-up and share a room, the Main Lodge has rooms with two queen beds. Some of the rooms feature a king as well as a twin bed. The Gardner Lodge: Closest to where the outdoor reception will be held (although all of the buildings are very close), so we encourage guests who don't mind loud music at night to stay there. The rooms have one king or queen bed plus a twin daybed, as well as a private patio with amazing views. Mt. Robinson: These are the more luxurious and (slightly) more expensive rooms featuring a king bed, large jacuzzi tub, sitting area, gas fireplace, private patio and more amazing views.

What are the Patterson Lake Cabins?
Answer
These are a part of Sun Mountain Lodge, but 1.2 miles below three main lodges/ceremony location, so driving or walking to the main resort area would be required. These include lakeside cabins that offer all of the comforts of home: Air conditioning, full kitchens with microwaves & dishwashers, gas fireplaces, and large front porches overlooking the lake. If I can't book a room at the Sun Mountain Lodge, where should I stay?
Answer
We encourage all guests to stay at the Sun Mountain Lodge since all wedding activities throughout the weekend will take place there. There are NO shuttles to any of the other hotels in the area. However, if you would like to stay off property, the Methow River Lodge & Cabins and the Chewuch Inn & Cabins are good options in Winthrop, WA, about a 15-20 minute drive from Sun Mountain Lodge.

If I want to extend my trip, what should I do?

We realize the venue is not easy to get to, so we encourage you to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest (PNW)! Drive 2.5 hours South and visit Lake Chelan. Grab a pint (or two) in the Bavarian-styled village of Levenworth, nestled in the Cascade Mountains, half-way home on your drive back to Seattle. Or, take Highway 20 to Anacortes and take a ferry to one of the beautiful San Juan Islands. Stay in the Methow Valley and go exploring, possibly hiking and staying at one of the back country huts in the Valley (see link below).
