Taughannock Falls State Park
Tallest single-drop waterfall in the northeastern US - and where Allie used to work as an environmental educator! This is a short drive up the west side of the lake, probably about 15 minutes from our venue. A must-see in the area!
Watkins Glen State Park
See photo above! One of the most beautiful natural structures in New York State. A moderate 2-mile walk through the gorge trail lends you killer views, walks under waterfalls, and a glimpse into rock bed geology dating back to dino-times. Another of Allie's past gigs, we HIGHLY recommend checking this place out. AND the Nascar raceway is just a short drive away!
Lively Run Goat Dairy
The best goat cheese you will ever taste! We will be serving this bleu cheese at the wedding (our absolute favorite). A visit to this farm will give you an option for a cheese tasting board and a peek into the barnyard with all the sweet goats. Also a great detour if you're exploring some wineries!
Purity Ice Cream Co.
The most popular ice cream spot in Ithaca - and if you go and try some, you'll understand why. Those New York cows make some reallll good stuff.
The Boatyard Grill
If you know Allie, you know this place was a chunk of her Ithaca journey. The sole waterfront view restaurant in Ithaca - they also actually have really tasty food. Get the buffalo chicken eggrolls, any of the seafood dishes, or the prime rib if you go on Sunday!
