the destination wedding of the year is on the horizon

It all started in the Spring of 2015. No one quite agrees on when they first met, some say dance lessons while others speculate a social dancing event. Regardless, swing dancing brought Pierre and Jenie together. After almost six months of Pierre having a serious crush, he got up the nerve to ask Jenie out. Those who were really there know that Jenie was the one who asked Pierre on a date, but that’s old news now. After dating for a few years in college, they did one year of long distance as Jenie completed her undergraduate degree in Boston and Pierre toughed it out in Chicago through the windy winter. They were reunited in DC where they weathered the pandemic together and even jumped on the bandwagon to get a pandemic puppy. If you have not yet met Zoey, feel free to stop by some time. Be prepared for an overly friendly fluff ball who cannot wait to be your new best friend. Now in Chicago, they are continuing their adventures which have included getting engaged, Pierre getting a grad degree, and Jenie starting grad school. They surprised everyone when they tied the knot in an intimate courthouse ceremony on June 12th, 2023. One year later, Pierre and Jenie are excited to celebrate this milestone with their closest friends and family in gorgeous Canmore, Canada. Jenie fell in love with the venue for the gorgeous mountain backdrop, the bright blue lake waters, and the strong exchange rate. Pierre has fallen in love with Jenie. The rest is their blissful adventure of a city boy and a small town girl in pursuit of their happily ever after.
