Irene & Thomas

Irene and Thomas first met in September of 2013, early in their time at Fordham, where they were assigned to the same dorm. 

A few months later, Irene and Thomas got to know each other better while tutoring math at a local grade school. By then, Thomas was interested in Irene and he found a reason for them to spend more time together: his inability to teach third graders math. He requested that Irene stay close to assist him with the tutoring. 

After a few more weeks of texting and tutoring, Thomas found an excuse to drop by the student center where Irene was working a night shift. He stopped by her desk to chat and asked her to dinner. 

On their first date, Thomas was so interested in Irene that he made sure to sit with his back towards the TV, so he wouldn't be distracted by Masahiro Tanaka making his much-anticipated debut for Thomas’s beloved Yankees. 

Irene and Thomas were pretty much inseparable for the last few weeks of freshman year, and they have been together ever since.
