Pioneertown, California, is a historic Old West-style town built in the 1940s as a movie set for Western films. It was originally constructed by Hollywood actors and filmmakers, including Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, as a backdrop for television and film productions. Today, it remains a popular tourist destination, with its preserved Western facades, saloons, and shops creating a nostalgic atmosphere. Located in the high desert of Southern California, it offers a glimpse into both Hollywood history and the rugged charm of the American frontier.
Rimrock Ranch, located just outside Pioneertown, California, is a historic desert retreat that once served as a getaway for Hollywood stars during the mid-20th century. The ranch is nestled at the base of the rugged Little San Bernardino Mountains and features rustic cabins, stunning desert views, and a rich history tied to the Old West film industry. In Kyle and Alyson's quest to find the perfect high desert venue, immediately upon their visit to Rimrock they knew this HAD to be the place! They fell in love not only with the property, but with its owners, Gwen and Eric. Rimrock is truly the venue of both of the bride and groom's dreams!
Depending on where you're joining us from, there may be direct or 1 stop flights to Palm Springs available, which we'd recommend if you're looking for a straight shot here! Pioneertown is a 35-45 minute drive from Palm Springs. There may be more conveniently timed, direct, and cheaper flights flying directly into San Diego or Los Angeles. The Palm Springs/Pioneertown area is a 2-3 hour drive from San Diego and a 2-2.5 hour drive from Los Angeles. We recommend this approach if you're looking to spend some time in either city before or after our nuptials, or enjoy a scenic drive. **REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU FLY IN, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND RENTING A CAR** Ubers are widely available in Palm Springs, but once you ascend into the desert, options are fewer and further between.
Please refer to the "TRAVEL" section of our website to see recommendations for your stay. Outside of the Pioneertown Motel and nearby Airbnb's, accommodations are few and far between so we recommend booking as soon as possible. We do NOT have a room block at the Pioneertown Motel. If you would like to stay there, book soon! If you are opting to find an Airbnb, we recommend looking for one in the direct/walkable vicinity of Rimrock Ranch or Pioneertown (Pioneertown Motel, Red Dog Saloon, Sound Stage). If you opt for a house beyond these locations, please expect to drive. Transportation to and from our venue, Rimrock Ranch, will be provided from the Pioneertown Motel.
All of the weekend's events are adults only. We love your kiddos! But please plan on making arrangements for child care.
