"Kirst" is Maddie's 'Cali girl' best friend who Maddie met in Sydney, when they were both studying at Hillsong College. Maddie always hoped to be cool enough to be her friend, and it turned out they had a lot in common! They even both ended up in Colorado for a time after living together in Coogee Beach in Sydney. Maddie is currently obsessed with Kirston's little boy, Grayson. (based in Orange County, CA)

"Sam" was Maddie's very first true friend in Colorado and has remained a close girlfriend ever since. Sam is also a masterful connecter, leading many - including Maddie - to their closest friends in Denver. Maddie is also an "aunt" to her adorable mini Aussie, Rhodes.(based in Austin, TX)

"Nat" is one talented woman! She launched a podcast after moving to Denver, which inspired many through its content and her vulnerability. Maddie was even lucky enough to be a guest. Go figure, Maddie met Nat through Sam. Nat has since had two precious littles. (based in Boulder, CO)

"At" and "Mad" met in a Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority chapter meeting at Clemson. Atlee had just transferred from Baylor, and upon first meeting that night, Maddie knew At would be her new 'best friend'. That turned out to be the case! At keeps Maddie en vogue and up to date on all things Southern. (based in Charleston, SC)

"Morgs" is one of Maddie's closest friends in Denver. Funnily enough, Morgan is also from Spartanburg and is friends with Maddie's cousin, but they never knew each other until they lived in Denver. Morgan is Maddie's music buddy - they both love going to shows and continue to check concerts off their list! (based in Denver, CO)

"Allie" & Maddie met on a camping trip (how very "Colorado" of them), thanks to Nat! She also loves Australia and lived there for awhile like Maddie...they became fast friends. Allie is an inspiration to Maddie through her climbing and running pursuits. (based in Denver, CO)
Jenny Waterhouse

or "Jenny Banenny"...there are many nicknames for Jenny as the two of them have been best friends since high school where they were in Show Choir and Miss Wando together (Jenny was Maddie's first friend at Wando High School, and she pretty much shepherded me through Maddie's sophomore year.) Maddie also adores Jenny's two little boys, Linton & Charlie. (based in Charleston, SC)

"Summ" & Maddie went to high school & college together and were in the same sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. (Summer particularly likes it when Maddie mentions that she won the title of "Miss Wando" in high school.) They stayed in touch over the years, and their moms even became close friends in Charleston. Matt and Maddie have made many memories together with Summer as she now lives in Colorado on a travel nursing assignment. Her heart for the Lord is immense, and we could not think of a better person to marry us! (based in Denver, CO)

Landon and Choo met in Nashville back in 2013 and quickly made a connection as two stud bachelors. They had a brief stint being roommates for 6 weeks, which was quite possibly the least productive, most fun 6 weeks of their lives. (based in Nashville, TN)

No, his name it not really Spike...but call him Spike. Choo and Spike go back to high school and have remained close friends since then. (based in Chattanooga, TN)

Sumo is Choo's brown friend. When Choo met Sumo he thought he was a doctor. Turns out he is an auditor. Sumo can always be relied on for being the positive one in the group and keeping the party going. He also makes everyone dress up in denim for his birthdays. We never complained.

Jimmy and Choo (yes, JimmyChoo) lived together for almost 7 years in Nashville. Before that Jimmy was actually friends with Choo's brother, Billy, but has concluded Choo is much cooler. The amount of stories that can be shared about Jimmy are endless and you are sure to hear some on wedding weekend. Although they did frequent a few watering holes around Nashville, JimmyChoo also shared a love for road biking. (based in Steamboat, CO)

Nick and Choo were roommates in Knoxville for 6 years and also went to high school together. Nick can always be counted on to support his friends, and like his German last name, is always more fun with a beer in his hand. Nick also has an incredible gift of being (at least) good at any sport, which includes drinking games. (based in Chattanooga, TN)
