Marissa & Aaron

    Script
    Cast and Crew

Cast and Crew

While the titular roles of Dork and Nerd will be played by the well-known Aaron and Marissa, the supporting characters may need some introducing:

Cassandra Jo Cobb

Maid of Honor

Despite her age, Cassie is no stranger to showbiz. Born with a natural flair for the dramatic, as well as a contagious laugh and sunny smile, she seems to always find herself in the center of attention. From cheerleading to performing on stage and even to creating TikToks, she knows how to give the people what they want. Marissa's younger sister, Cassie inherited the same competitive nature, and double portions of the family's stubbornness. As such, the two of them butt heads constantly, but always make up by sharing snacks and having a dance-off (which Cassie, clearly, always wins.) Fun fact: Cassie's favorite Muppet is Miss Piggy.

Sam Leonard

Best Man

Even though he doesn't share Aaron's last name, Sam will always be a brother to him. They met approximately 17 years earlier, all the way back in 1st grade. Quickly growing inseparable, the two spent nearly every waking moment together. There's hardly another person in the world that can make Aaron laugh as hard as Sam can. He's incredibly goofy, but can also be profoundly serious when he needs to be. He will often find himself being the person people go to for advice or just general help with life. Sam's interests include (but are not limited to): rock climbing, video games, creating physical and digital art, and photography. Fun Fact: Sam has a bearded dragon named Marley that absolutely loves people.

BethAnn Bleemel

Bridesmaid

Whether the first thing you notice about her is her wild curly hair, her attitude, or just the sheer amount of red she has in her wardrobe, it's clear from the start that BethAnn is gonna flaunt what she's got. Growing up with 2 older brothers, she's used to getting pushed around, and she knows how to push back. She's not about to let anyone step in her way without getting an earful- and let me tell you, that is enough of a threat itself. BethAnn and Marissa met while studying film production together at Huntington University. While at first they were both too timid to talk to each other, group projects eventually pushed them out of their shells, and led to the two of them becoming friends. And beyond that, a team. Fun fact: BethAnn's favorite movie is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

Josh Sopa

Groomsman

Similar to Sam, Josh is also like a brother to Aaron, whom he met roughly the same time as Sam. In 8th grade Aaron realized the three of them would likely make a great trio. He was not wrong. Since then, they have been the three amigos, brothers for life. Josh instantly lights up any room he enters. It's impossible not to like him, as he pretty much befriends every person he meets. On top of being hilarious and entertaining, Josh is also an incredibly talented music producer. When he's not spending time with the people he loves, you can find him in his music studio, cranking out another amazing instrumental. Fun Fact: One of Josh's nicknames is "Mr. Clean", not because of any resemblance to the cleaning product, but because his last name sounds like Soap-Ah.

Andrew Esch

Bridesman

With dreams of being a writer, Andrew has spent his life consuming literature of every kind, from books to comics to movies and shows. He loves collecting stories, and sharing his collection with his friends. And even more than simply hearing stories and sharing them, he loves to live them. One story that Andrew has lived has been the story of Aaron and Marissa, which he has been following attentively for the last few years. He has even written his own short story, based off of their relationship and set in a world he created, and presented it to them as an engagement present. Fun fact: Andrew's favorite video game is Wandersong.

Noah Stinson

Groomsman

It's hard to imagine there's anyone else out there like Noah. When Aaron first met Noah back in freshman year of college after they were assigned as roommates, he definitely did not expect him to become one of his closest friends so quickly. Over the course of his college career, Noah became one of the defacto leaders of the Baker Boys. One of the many reasons for this is his infectious humor, his joke telling rivaling even the best of comedians. However, what really makes him a leader is his ability to talk with people no matter what they may be going through. While you'll often hear Noah talking about his love for Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, his true passion lies in being an animator and bringing his imagination to life. Fun Fact: Despite being married, Noah is still single.

Wyatt Osborn

Bridesman

The first thing you notice about Wyatt is his moustache. The second is that he can talk for an unnaturally long time before pausing for a breath. An odd mix between a barbarian and a bard, his temperament is split between that of a manic frat boy and a grumpy scholar sitting down to tell a story. A longtime Baker Boy, Wyatt has seen and adopted many underclassmen, including both Aaron and Marissa. In addition to acting as the grandfather of the Baker 2nd floor, he also moonlights as the dungeon master of various D&D campaigns, and is solely responsible for Marissa's fear of people whistling along to Mr. Sandman. Fun fact: He loves throwing parties.

Philip Price

Groomsman

There are few people as quiet and stoic as Phil, basically the complete opposite of Noah. Finding himself needing a new roommate after freshman year, Phil met with Aaron who also needed a roommate. So the two started rooming together and Aaron quickly grew very attached to Phil. Often being referred to as the "wise old soul" on the floor, Phil has also made himself a pillar in the Baker Boys. Known to tag along to just about anything, there is rarely a story about Baker 2nd that doesn't include Phil. While he is a solemn man, when he does speak it is usually either a comical one liner or an insight into a particular topic. Phil also enjoys editing movies and playing Kingdom Hearts. Fun Fact: He'll never admit this, but Phil can do a near perfect cover of Disturbed's "The Sound of Silence."

Nick Robinson

Bridesman

A gentle, quiet individual, one would not expect that behind Nick's timid exterior beats the heart of an actor. His reserved manner puts many at ease, and then his quick wit shocks them into laughter. He has had much experience performing, from theatre and musicals to short films and even some voice-acting, and will bring a dash of professionalism to the wedding lineup. Nick was forcefully adopted by both Marissa and Wyatt upon moving onto the Baker 2nd floor his Freshman year of college, and has not been able to escape since. However, he does not seem to be upset by his situation, and gladly meets up for D&D sessions and "family" meals. Fun fact: Nick once played Willy Wonka in a high school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Mark Dold

Groomsman

If Noah was a defacto leader of the Baker Boys, then Mark was quite literally an actual leader, him being the RA of the floor. The first thing you notice from meeting Mark is that charisma just oozes out of him. He's one of the most charming people you'll find, even if his humility prevents him from seeing this himself. Mark loves watching anime and taking naps, often times to the detriment of getting his work done. But beyond that, what Mark really enjoys is spending time with people. When he's not working (or napping), you can usually find him hanging out with a group of friends, sometimes even a group of strangers. Fun Fact: Mark is one of the only people in the world that knows how to tie a tie, so he'll probably tie everyone's ties for them. Thanks Mark.
