If you receive an invitation to our wedding ceremony and reception that will be taking place in Indiana, then yes, you are invited. You will receive these invitations either by mail, or you will be contacted directly by Aaron or Marissa.
We only have so much money to spend on a wedding, and so there are only so many guests that we can afford to invite. We have chosen to invite our immediate families, as well as our friends who live in the area. This does not mean that we do not like you: in fact, we would love to celebrate with two more receptions so that we can share this event with you. We will just have to do so at a later date.
At this time, both the Wisconsin and South Carolina receptions are looking to be held in July: specifically, the 4th of July weekend for South Carolina, and the weekend of July 24th for Wisconsin. Both locations are still TBD, but will be updated at a later date.
Anyone and everyone is invited to our Wisconsin and South Carolina receptions. Seeing as invitations are expensive to purchase and mail, we are not currently planning on sending them out. As such, we will be sharing our wedding website and keeping it up to date, so that everyone who is interested will be able to find the information and join us at our later receptions.
Absolutely! We realize that Indiana might be a bit far for some people to travel, and that the weekend of June 11th may not work out for everyone to attend. If you are unable to attend the Indiana ceremony and reception, you are more than free to join us for either the Wisconsin or South Carolina reception!
Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to provide hotel rooms for all of our guests, so we will be unable to assist with that cost. However, we have compiled a short list of reasonably priced hotels in convenient locations under our "Location" tab to help you find one for you.
For appetizers, we will have a cheese platter and some grilled chicken strips with barbeque sauce that will be made available after the ceremony has ended. Lemonade, tea, soft drinks and water will also be available throughout the evening. For dinner, a buffet of deli sandwiches will be provided, with sides of meatballs, green beans, a vegetable platter and a tomato and cucumber salad. In addition, dessert will be made available, although what that dessert will be is still TBD.
The Baker Street Station has two small parking lots on either side of it that will be available for our guests to park in. In addition, there is a large parking lot directly across the road which will also be available for guests to park in, although there is a chance that if there is a baseball game going on in the stadium downtown, that large parking lot could be full. However. it will still be available to park in.
Besides limiting the amount of people travelling to the Indiana ceremony and reception, we will also be asking that all guests wear a face mask while attending the wedding, as well as practice social distancing. The Baker Street Station is not a huge building, but there will be enough room for everyone to spread out safely. As for the following receptions, we also ask that face masks and social distancing be practiced as well. As we will have just gotten married, we would prefer to not spend our honeymoon period sick, or worrying about anyone else who got sick after visiting with us.
We are currently working on figuring out how to have a virtual ceremony so that those not attending the wedding will still have the option of watching.
