Amazing Market to check out Saturday morning before the Reception!
Historic State Theater in Downtown Traverse City is a must. The seats are the same as the 2005 Ford Mustang, and the ceiling was done by the local college's astronomy professor and is an accurate depiction of the Traverse City night sky in the summer! Make sure to sit on the balcony!
For those who want to see the dunes, go check them out. They're beautiful, but only recommend doing the hike if it's overcast and below 70 - it's hotter and longer than you expect.
The Old State Hospital is beautiful! This is on the grounds of where the reception will be and where Marcus worked in High School! It was bought and renovations started in 2005 and is now filled with local shops and restaurants. Building 50 hosts most of the shops and is also a walking art exhibit.
One of our favorite hikes in town. It's a quick 1.5 mile round trip hike, but it is almost entirely uphill, but beautiful.
Bit of a drive from Traverse City, but a beautiful place for an evening stroll. If you're staying in town for a while, I would highly recommend it as well as dinner in town at Storm Cloud Brewing.
Really cool hiking all around the Grand Traverse Commons - where the reception will be. Make sure to check out the Hippie Tree. It was struck by lightning decades back!
Voted best ice cream in the United States for a few summers. You'll find the actually ice cream all over Traverse City, but we highly recommend checking out the OG spot.
Some of our favorite coffee. And they refuse to use togo cups for sustainability! Instead, the owners buy coffee cups from yard/garage sales and give them to their customers to go!
Dope Urban Winery in the Old State Hospital
Great bubbly!
Amazing hispanic food. Oddly enough, Marcus use to work in this building when it was still the Underground Cheesecake Company.
Great spot for dinner!
Dope breakfast.
Little bit of a drive, but well worth it. Their BBQ and beers are amazing.
The GPS coordinates of Marcus's tattoo. Great spot to walk around and enjoy the views.
Amazing food and one of our favorite spots to go when we're in Traverse City.
Shorter hike that ends in an amazing view of the Manitou Islands - 10/10.
