Due to the current CoVid19 Pandemic, we have decided to move the wedding celebration to October 16th, 2021. We love and care about all of you and do not want any of you to get sick due to traveling. We want to make sure all of you who are able to come can come to the wedding safely, so we have moved the date to the following year. All of the vendors have been amazing and allowed us to change our date with ease.

Marcus was a junior at Michigan and Brandon had just moved to the marvelous mitten after graduating from Arizona State to start his PhD in Ann Arbor. Somehow between Marcus's class/work/irish dance schedule and Brandon being in the first year of his PhD, they found time for one another - mostly to watch sports and go to the bars (playing to their strengths). The first summer Marcus moved to Milwaukee and Brandon to DC for various internships, and thus started their serial long distance-live together relationship. They lived apart for 4 months, then together for 8 months. Then apart for 7 months, then together for a year. Then apart for 2 years when Marcus moved to California to finish his PhD. Despite all of the distance, and massive amounts of money traveling, they stuck it out. In May 2018, Brandon got the go ahead from his PhD advisor to move to California after persistent badgering from Marcus (he's not very patient apparently...). Marcus flew back to Ann Arbor to surprise Brandon and help him move out. But little did Brandon know, he was also there to propose. Marcus organized both sides of immediate family to surprise Brandon at Vin Bar (Marcus's favorite) after proposing to him on the Diag in Ann Arbor. Thankfully Brandon said yes! And was even more surprised to see all of our family! They both now live together in Davis, California where Marcus is finishing up his PhD and Brandon is working remotely as a postdoc. In 2020 they became plant dads several times over, adopted their lovable puppers Aspen, and are so excited for you to be part of their wedding in Traverse City!
